Meet Andres Garcia | Producer, Director & Editor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Andres Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Andres, how do you think about risk?
Every project I work on—whether as a producer, editor, or director—involves taking risks. These risks are inherent in bringing a project to life from start to finish. My entire life has revolved around taking risks, but I prefer to think of them as investments or acts of trust in my work. It’s about trusting my potential and my capabilities because with that trust comes growth and experience. Each day, every moment. brings new lessons that help me mature, both personally and professionally, for future projects. Life is about taking risks, but it’s also about believing that these risks will lead to growth.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I came to Los Angeles to break into the film industry, so I enrolled in film school without a clear idea of where to start creatively. My experience in Los Angeles has been incredibly gratifying, as I’ve discovered that it’s not just about creativity and artistry—it’s also about the people. The people you spend time with, those you collaborate with, and those who help bring your vision to life are all crucial. I began my journey as a director, starting with small projects, and gradually moved on to producing larger ones, collaborating with more people along the way. This is how I was introduced to producing, which involved working with people, managing paperwork, handling budgets, filing insurance, and being on set to solve any problems that arose. People appreciated the work I was doing, and a friend trusted me to help produce their projects. From there, I started getting recommended for even more projects, which expanded my workflow, experience, and network. It’s been deeply gratifying to gain so much on-set experience and to meet so many people. This journey has not only fostered my creative growth but also strengthened my belief in my own potential.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Take them to Universal Citywalk and the theaters around here. I would also take them to clubbing in West Hollywood since it’s an incredible experience to have here in Los Angeles. Take them to eat in restaurants in Larchmont Village and at The Grove.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I dedicate my shoutout to my parents and my sisters Also my classmates and friends in believing and trusting in me.
