We had the good fortune of connecting with Malia Arrayah and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Malia, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
I think that when you stop having fun with what you are doing, it may be a time to look into another direction. Never give up on temporary setbacks, or roadblocks those are the moments that make you stronger and help you grow.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Nothing great is ever easy, I could never say that honestly. In truth, it was an arduous and continues to be a challenging lifestyle and road, and I stay in the creative fields because of one simple thing. I love it. I think that having passion and love for something is far more important than staying in jobs for pay checks. I’ve seen and felt professional success, and I have seen and felt a lot of failures. I still keep going because I believe this is my path right now, and I honor it, and I honor my spirit. I enjoy the passion and diversity of creativity, whether it is within writing books, painting, or acting in a role that I have never done before. To me, this is how I express myself the best, and am allowed the freedom to be 🙂

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Definitely go visit Randy’s Donuts, it’s definitely top tier donuts and I love donuts haha! I would take them to Hollywood Blvd to walk around and see the stars on the ground, Universal Studios to ride Jurassic World, Redondo Beach to see the beauty of the ocean and then WeHo for delicious tacos from Guisados, yum!

I would like to shout out Erin Herlihy (ig @raisingsevak), who has been my life coach over the past 4 years now. She has helped me in so many ways and I appreciate her guidance.
