We had the good fortune of connecting with Manuel Levy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Manuel, how do you think about risk?
The topic of taking risks in life is incredibly fascinating and complex. For me, it’s essential to recognize that each situation where you’re contemplating a risk is unique and should be treated as such. Taking a risk doesn’t automatically guarantee success just because you had the courage to go for it—you also have to be prepared for the possibility of failure. When making that leap, it’s crucial to ask yourself if you can be at peace with the consequences, even if things don’t go as planned.

What’s interesting is that the outcome of a risk doesn’t always reveal itself right away. Sometimes, what seems like a failure at first can evolve into something positive over time. In my case, I left behind everything in my hometown of Argentina—my friends, family, and my (now ex)girlfriend, to pursue new opportunities. The first six months were brutal, and it felt like I had made a terrible decision. But over time, the pieces started falling into place, and now I couldn’t imagine my life without having taken that leap.

Today’s mindset often promotes living life to the fullest by taking every risk that comes your way, but I don’t fully agree with that. Not every risk is worth it, and part of the journey is learning to discern which ones are. It’s like being in a casino: just because you won once doesn’t mean you’ll keep winning. So my advice? If a risk scares you, that’s a good sign to go for it—but be smart about it.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I don’t think there’s anything that specifically sets me apart from others—in fact, we are all born unique and naturally different from each other. That’s the beauty of it. We each have our own approaches and perspectives toward any given topic, which makes the creative process so diverse and interesting.

The journey is never easy, and mine has just begun. All challenges are best overcome by maintaining a strong and positive mindset. It’s easy to get emotionally discouraged, especially in this industry, where the word we hear most often is ‘no.’ The real key is our inner dialogue—what we tell ourselves. Our story can either be a romantic comedy or a horror film, depending on how we choose to narrate it to ourselves.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d say Highland Park, where I live, is one of my favorite places. Lots of nightlife, youth, cool bars and coffee shops.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents, 100%. There are a lot of people we encounter on our journey who help us in one way or another, but in my case, I’ve been blessed to have my parents’ unwavering support. Their belief in me has been, is, and will always be as unconditional as it gets. Pursuing a career in the entertainment industry isn’t for everyone, and it can be hard for those outside of it to understand how unpredictable the path can be. Even without fully grasping it, both my Mom and Dad have always been there, backing every decision I make and helping me with the ones I’m unsure about. For that, my shoutout is to them. Love you guys.
