We had the good fortune of connecting with Victor & Shiffon Drummond and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Victor & Shiffon, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My journey towards starting my own business was deeply rooted in a desire to support those navigating the difficult path of grief. I wanted to create a space where people could find comfort through crystals and genuine human connection, addressing their emotional needs with care.

Force Puissante was born from a personal experience when my wife faced profound grief after losing her best friend, her first love, and her father—a remarkable man who stood 6’5” tall, with a thunderous laugh that could fill a room with warmth and joy. We aimed to infuse that same joy into every interaction we have with our customers. My wife pours her heart into paying attention to every detail, ensuring that each person feels valued and supported during their times of need.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Our art is a heartfelt expression of the full spectrum of human emotions, crafted to resonate with the eyes and souls of everyone who encounters it. Each piece we create captures raw emotion and energy; you can truly feel its essence the moment you touch it. Whether someone is seeking healing from physical pain, processing grief, or experiencing joy, our art serves as a comforting companion. Every piece is handmade with intention, love, and a touch of prayer, allowing us to create custom pieces right on the spot to meet individual needs.

Shiffon brings a unique perspective to our work, drawing from her professional background in business management. Living with lupus, an autoimmune disease, has deepened her empathy and compassion for others. Her time managing a Mediterranean restaurant at Rockefeller Center in NYC taught her invaluable lessons about understanding the needs of those around her.

I (Victor), a man of trans experience, spent two years working at Live Nation as a security professional. This role not only allowed me to meet artists i admired but also introduced meto a vibrant community of incredible souls. These experiences have instilled in me a sense of humility and the importance of consistency. Currently, I works at an Asian supermarket, where I continue to learn about and appreciate different cultures.

Both Shiffon and Victor have faced challenges along the way, but these experiences have shaped their understanding of patience and compassion for others. Together, we strive to create art that not only uplifts but also provides a sense of connection and healing.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting, we’d embark on an unforgettable day trip to Ventura! Our adventure would kick off with a delicious breakfast at IHOP in downtown LA, just a stone’s throw from the Amtrak station. Once we board the train, we’d indulge in tasty snacks from the café as we watch the scenery zip by.

Upon arrival, we’d hit the beach, soaking up the sun, snapping epic photos, and searching for sparkling crystals in the sand. As the sun begins to set, we’d stroll over to a charming Italian restaurant for a mouthwatering dinner.

But the night doesn’t end there! We’d rush back to Los Angeles, freshen up, and then head to Santa Monica for an epic night out at the 1212 club. This place is bursting with energy, exciting performances, and vibrant vibes, making it the perfect grand finale to our amazing day!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We wish to take a moment to sincerely express our heartfelt gratitude to God for His unwavering guidance throughout our journey. The words of Psalm 37, attributed to David, have been a constant source of comfort and strength in our prayers.
As New York City natives who moved to California, my wife and I faced many challenges, including spending nearly a year in a shelter. This experience taught us valuable lessons in humility and resilience. Now that we have our own apartment, we’re continuously working to let go of that survival mentality, embracing a brighter future with hope and gratitude.
