Meet Pixie Rose | Singer, Songwriter, Actress

We had the good fortune of connecting with Pixie Rose and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Pixie, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
We all have that knack, that talent, that special interest that give us joy beyond words. If money was no object, what would you chose to do with your time, for pure, true, fulfilment? Welp, I’m following my heart now, in this life. I can’t deny my inner joy & passion for creativity artistry through music, dance, theatre, visual arts, etc. It’s an amazing coping mechanism for navigating and processing the human experience. Creating any art, in all it’s forms, has become such a healing experience for me. Moving this energy within us, around and out, into a release! And its such an honor to share that music medicine with others.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Rags to riches, but the real gold was the discovery of self. After surviving numerous traumatic experiences, art became a moment of self reflection. A way to get through the tough times. Maybe even a genuis moment of overthinking. As the words overflowed from a pen, into everyone’s new favorite song. I’m so glad I finally let it out! It warms the heart to connect with so many others through music, as we navigate the spectrum of emotions. My music blends genres. Even blends different moods together. Embracing the shadow side of life, while also celebrating this very moment.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Born and raised in Los Angeles. So the Venice beach drum circles and traveling artist vendors are my mall. Along with the amazing progressive vegan scene. Grain Cafe is healthy & delicious! O but Thai Curry Pizza in Long Beach has some of the most unique pizzas. Literally is my comfort food. The underground queer music scene is filled with activists, angels, and icons. There’s open mics at every coffee shop, and show opportunities at every bar. A wonderful supportive melting pot of cultures.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to karaoke nights with the homies. Yall were the real inspiration! My producer Daniel Aron Speer, is such a talented supportive angel. They made the studio such a safe space for me and my creative journey. Many thanks and much love to all the supporters and critics I’ve crossed paths with. Art is a wild thing, growing, shaping, and evolving as we do.
