We had the good fortune of connecting with Zaadé Tiff and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zaadé, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
Trust me I have been through a lot along this journey and there have been many times where giving up would have been the easiest choice, I know that I truly found my passion because no matter how much I’ve been discouraged…that has never been an option for me and my aesthetics business.. Find what you are passionate about and put all of your energy into making that come to fruition.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been a licensed Aesthetician for about 10 years now. I worked in the corporate world before that and nothing was really working out to be something I wanted to live my life doing. I decided I wanted to find something where I could eventually be my own boss. I used to do brows for my friends back in high school and someone mentioned beauty school. It made sense. I ended up doing night courses while still working a job. Moved home and focused on my next plan once passing state board. I thought it would be easy after that but it was just the beginning. Experiencing nightmare jobs and feeling once again lost as you have so many options in this industry… I finally landed a job in a med spa and decided my focus would be skincare. I believe in finding a focus on what you are really good at and mastering that craft as opposed to spreading yourself too thin and being mediocre at many things. Just know that when you come to me I have the experience, and take pride in knowing what Tim doing. You are in good hands!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a Westsider…born and raised in Los Angeles…so I’ve always stayed close to the beaches…all along the coast. I’m a serious foodie so I’m the person to ask about places to go eat if you are unsure. I also love a good museum (Getty/villa) and love a good hike (Temescal…) Working out is a very important part of my life and is a form of therapy as I get older (43). We would also have to squeeze a Disneyland trip in there somewhere..,I love to go there to eat , people watch…and of course ride some nostalgic rides as well!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Love.Life…the other company I work for…that gives me a little bit of structure, stability and support while I’m not working on things to further my own business. I really respect them because they promote wellness and really take care of the people that are fortunate enough to be a part of their company. Having a positive work environment and feeling healthy makes it a lot easier and motivating to work on other areas of yourself. I am at Love.Life a few days a week and the other days I take on my personal mobile clients. It’s a nice balance. Also most importantly my family who has always been my biggest supporters, clients and encouragers along my somewhat chaotic but gratifying journey.
