We had the good fortune of connecting with Catherine Delcin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Catherine, what do you attribute your success to?
Most entrepreneurial endeavors have their carved-out or planned path to success. Along that path there are those who enable or facilitate that success by their disposition, participation and contribution. The most important factor to the success of Delcin Consulting Group is our core group of people who have enabled us to penetrate the legal market and have a lasting impact. That includes all of our clients, key employees, business partners, advisors, mentors, and supporters. There were and there continue to be barriers and gatekeepers that threaten to thwart our path to success. However, we have been fortunate to stay on task by staying steadfast and diligent in our efforts and pursuits.

With an inkling for the insights needed for the years ahead we hope to remain consistent and hone further our craft and positioning in order to continue to inspire the confidence of our core group, and of course, inspire others that are similarly situated to join the fold. We honor those whose contributions have allowed us to continually grow, find our path to success and maintain it. We affirm and reinforce their decision each and every day knowing that their dedication and unwavering support made the difference.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Delcin Consulting Group launched in 2011 to provide legal services to existing and aspiring entrepreneurs [for profit and nonprofit] in business formation, transactions and litigation. Over the years, the scope of the firm increased to offer additional services for civil & commercial litigation, intellectual property and several general practice areas including immigration. Our firm offers a unique value proposition of hybrid services which includes a component of consulting in addition to the legal services for all of our practice areas. To date, our greatest accomplishments include sustaining long term client relationships, our litigation success rate, and the diversity and breadth of experience of our team.

Our firm has offices in northern California, Los Angeles, and San Diego. I am excited to share that we just launched a new office in Washington DC. After passing the California Bar, I always had a desire to be barred in the District of Columbia. However, life had had other plans. Thirteen years later, I am happy that I have fulfilled that dream. Dreams do not die, sometimes, they just go into hibernation until we are ready.

One of the most important lessons that I have learned is to pursue dreams or aspirations at the right time. Often time, we get an idea or a dream we would like to pursue, and we get so excited that we go full steam ahead without checking on the timing. Not everything can be pursued all at once. Some dreams take time. Make no mistake, it’s not the dream that needs time to flourish, it us and our surrounding circumstances that may need to change before it can materialize.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In my later years, I have found that the best spots for hang outs are the ones that allow a connection with nature. I have grown fond of hiking, beach activities and garden explorations. I believe some of the most interesting people that I have met are nature lovers. They have such zeal for life and a passion for preserving our planet.

My Itinerary
We would probably start with an early morning hike at inspiration loop trail, have brunch at blu jam café and the afternoon activities would be going to the botanical garden and gloria molina grand park.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I dedicate my shout out to the small close group of loved ones [you know who you are] who continue to support, love and honor me every day. It is on their shoulders that I stand. They have enabled me to pursue my passion, my aspirations, and dreams. I am who I am because of some of their sacrifices, their labor of love, their intentional chosen path to be a part of this life journey with me.
