Hi Marquis, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
My end goal is to be recognized as one of the top makeup artists who transitioned into a successful reality star. I aim to inspire people by embracing and enhancing the unique beauty of everyday individuals, showcasing how flaws can be celebrated. Through my work, I want to leave a lasting impact on the industry and empower others to feel confident in their own skin.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a makeup artist and beauty influencer, my work is centered around celebrating individuality and enhancing the natural beauty of my clients. What sets me apart is my ability to connect with people and understand their unique needs, allowing me to create personalized looks that make them feel confident and empowered. I’m most proud of the impact I’ve had on the everyday person, showing them that beauty is not about perfection but about embracing who they are.

Professionally, my journey has been filled with challenges, but each one has pushed me to grow. It wasn’t always easy—balancing creativity with the demands of the industry, and staying relevant in an ever-changing beauty landscape—but I’ve overcome these hurdles by staying true to my vision and being open to learning. I’ve learned that authenticity is key and that building genuine connections with people matters more than trends.

What I want the world to know about my brand is that it’s built on inclusivity and empowerment. Through my work, I aim to break down traditional beauty standards and inspire others to find confidence in their unique features. Whether through makeup tutorials, transformations, or simply offering advice, I want to create a space where beauty is accessible and celebrated by all.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would definitely show them the beautiful life of Las Vegas. Downtown Freemont is one of my go-to night-out experiences. there are so many things to do in LA and Las Vegas. we would be able to have a set planned itinerary. my friends are wild and random.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to all the incredible Black beauty gurus & Makeup artists who have paved the way, especially Tyme the infamous. Their creativity, resilience, and commitment to pushing the boundaries of beauty have been a major source of inspiration for me. They’ve shown me the power of embracing individuality and have set a strong example for aspiring artists like myself. I wouldn’t be where I am without their influence, and I’m proud to stand on their shoulders as I work to my own mark in the industry.
