We had the good fortune of connecting with Jett Lafever and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jett, what are you inspired by?
I am inspired by passion. I love to make people happy and work hard and give everyone the opportunity to feel beautiful. I am inspired by the love and passion people have for their favorite things.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a professional makeup artist for bridal, events, set, stage and more. I am just so thankful for my willingness to never give up. Being freelance is tough but totally worth it if you have to drive and motivation. I am proud of all my artistry. I just love to make people feel beautiful and genuinely the most stunning version of themselves. I always say everyone is beautiful, I just help them sparkle.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For sure I would have them come to all my local Burbank spots, such as magnolia park. Amazing Halloween stores, thrifting, and more. I would take them to castaway in the Burbank hills as well as the beetlehouse in Hollywood.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to give my credit to Tim Burton. Since I was a kid I was always into horror and such, and he really opened my eyes to being strange and beautiful all together. Overall though I would accredit my shoutout to my mom. My mom has always loved me, but always allowed me to be myself.
