Meet Ivanna Demianiuk | Artist. CEO of DANAVI ART

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ivanna Demianiuk and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ivanna, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
It’s all very simple. I’ve always been a creative person, but at some point, I realized I wanted to turn my passion into a professional career. Art is not just a hobby; it’s a full-fledged business. It requires a clear strategy, the ability to analyze the market, build relationships with clients and partners. My previous business experience, which is more than 10 years, has given me the necessary skills for this. I saw how my paintings were in demand in a narrow circle, and I realized that there was huge potential for growth. I want to not just sell my work, but create a community around it, develop my brand. That was my main motivation to start.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work is an invitation to self-discovery. I want to show that every person is unique, with their own unique history and set of qualities. In our modern world, full of comparisons and idealized images, it’s important to remember your individuality. My art is a reminder that self-acceptance is the first step to true strength. I want to inspire people to develop themselves and find their unique path. From a commercial standpoint, I see great potential in creating art projects that will resonate with a wide audience. For example, these could be interactive exhibitions where visitors can not only enjoy the art but also participate in the creative process. I am also considering creating lines of clothing and accessories with my prints to make art more accessible and everyday. I believe that art can change the world. And I want to contribute to creating a more conscious and harmonious society. Art is not just a hobby for me, it’s my passion and life’s work. Growing up in a creative environment, thanks to my grandfather, an artist, painting has always been a way for me to express myself and connect with the world. Today, I see in my art more than just a beautiful picture. It’s an opportunity to create a unique product that resonates with people on a deep level. My works are a kind of mirror in which everyone can see a reflection of their emotions and experiences. How did I get to where I am? I’m always for taking small steps towards your goal. Imagine that you want to climb a high mountain. You wouldn’t try to jump to the top right away. So, gradually, step by step, you will reach your goal and admire the views along the way. And when you break a big goal into small ones, you get the feeling that you are already doing something, and not just dreaming. This motivates, because I am that kind of person who, if I set a huge goal for myself right away, can quickly “burn out”. But business is not just about strategy. I’m totally sure that communication and networking are critical. The business world is a world of relationships. The ability to build connections, see opportunities and use them is the key to success. Also I always approach risk with a degree of caution. I believe in calculated risk. Of course, no one is immune to surprises, but a clear strategy and well-thought-out plans can minimize potential losses and maximize profits, and not only in the business, but also in life. And about challenges. Here is the question always about an internal understanding of a global goal. When you have complete confidence in what you want to do and where you want to go, you know that all efforts are worth the difficulties you encounter along the way. I’m not an advocate of giving up if something doesn’t work out. If you don’t succeed on the first try but have a clear understanding of the result you want, it’s worth trying another approach. One of them will definitely lead you where you need to be. The universe always gives us many opportunities to achieve our goals, and it’s important to recognize them. And to follow your own path, regardless of what others think, because only you know what you’ve been through, where you’re going, and what’s best for you and your business. Of course, it makes sense to listen to the advice of people you respect or who have already succeeded in your niche. They have more experience. And if something doesn’t work out, you can turn to these people for advice, and they can guide you towards the result you need. This once again highlights the importance of your environment and communication, which I mentioned earlier.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I haven’t lived in LA for very long, so I don’t know many places. But I have a few favorite places where I like to walk or just drink coffee. I really like coming to the Grove. I like the atmosphere there. I would definitely take my friends for lunch to Avra BH or Nobu Malibu to enjoy the ocean view and for dinner to Amour restaurant or Spire 73 for drinks with amazing view. But my favorite place is the roof of a furniture store RH on Melrose. Couple years ago you could come to the terrace on 3d floor, there is a very beautiful mini park, where you can sit on a sofa under the open sky and, in my case, draw. Now, unfortunately, this is no longer possible.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Art is not just a hobby for me, it’s my passion and life’s work. I was growing up in a creative environment, thanks to my grandfather, an artist, painting has always been a way for me to express myself and connect with the world. Thanks to him, I discovered my talent and fell in love with art. He invited me into the world of creativity.
