We had the good fortune of connecting with Maria Jordi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maria, what’s your definition for success?
I define success as the ability to balance professional achievements with a fulfilling personal life. True success, for me, means not only reaching goals and creating impact through my work, but also having the time and presence to enjoy life with family and friends. It’s about building a life where I can pursue my passions, leave a positive mark, and contribute to others’ growth—both personally and professionally. In the end, I believe success is measured by the meaningful connections we foster, the joy we find in our everyday lives, and the legacy of kindness and value we leave behind.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career has been an incredible journey of passion, resilience, and growth. I’ve always been drawn to the world of marketing, communication, and branding, and over the years, I’ve had the privilege to work with some of the most iconic global brands, like Nike, Johnnie Walker, and Diesel. What sets me apart is my approach: I view every brand not just as a product, but as a story waiting to be told in a way that resonates deeply with its audience. I pride myself on creating strategies that go beyond visibility to establish meaningful connections, because, at the end of the day, it’s those connections that make a lasting impact. Getting to where I am today has been anything but easy. Each role, project, and challenge has pushed me to stretch my limits. Early in my career, there were moments of self-doubt and times when I had to work harder to prove myself, especially in fast-paced industries like entertainment and beauty. But these experiences taught me the power of persistence and the importance of standing by my ideas with conviction. I learned to find creative solutions in moments of pressure, to stay adaptable, and, above all, to remain true to the vision I have for each project.
Personally, this journey has been equally rich. Each person, book, song, movie, series, studies along the way have taught me valuable lessons, ones that I carry with me and apply when the moment is right. Every piece of knowledge, every experience is something I value and keep close, knowing it will shape and guide my path in ways I may not yet fully realize.
What I want people to know about my story is that every campaign I develop and every brand I work with carries a part of this journey. I bring dedication, creativity, and authenticity into my work, always striving to create something meaningful. My hope is to continue to inspire others, create connections, and make an impact that goes beyond business—to spark a sense of purpose and connection in everything I do.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting Los Angeles for a week, I’d plan an itinerary that blends LA’s iconic spots with some local hidden gems and a good dose of live music.

Day 1: Hollywood & Griffith Observatory
We’d kick off with the Hollywood Walk of Fame and a visit to the Griffith Observatory for stunning city views and the Hollywood sign. To set the tone, we’d end the evening with a live show at the legendary Hollywood Bowl if there’s a concert in town.

Day 2: Downtown LA & Live Jazz
In Downtown, we’d grab breakfast at Eggslut in Grand Central Market, then explore The Broad Museum and Walt Disney Concert Hall. We’d wrap up with cocktails at Perch and catch live jazz at The Varnish for a laid-back, soulful night.

Day 3: Getty Center & The Grove
A morning at the Getty Center offers an inspiring mix of art, architecture, and scenic views. Afterward, we’d head to The Grove for lunch, some shopping, and a stroll through the farmers’ market. In the evening, we’d hit The Roxy or Viper Room on Sunset Strip for live music, enjoying LA’s rock-and-roll history.

Day 4: Santa Monica & Venice Beach
We’d rent bikes to ride from Santa Monica Pier down to Venice Beach, exploring the Venice Canals and Abbot Kinney Boulevard. Lunch at Gjelina would be a treat, and we’d catch a beachside sunset before heading back for a relaxed evening.

Day 5: Malibu & Getty Villa
A Malibu day trip would start with brunch at Malibu Farm on the pier, followed by a beach walk and a visit to the Getty Villa. A scenic sunset drive along the Pacific Coast Highway would end the day in a classic LA fashion.

Day 6: Beverly Hills & West Hollywood
We’d window-shop on Rodeo Drive, stroll through Beverly Hills, and have lunch at The Ivy. To experience LA’s nightlife, we’d head to The Abbey for fun or catch a late show back on the Strip at Whisky a Go Go.

Day 7: Chill & Pasadena
We’d wind down with a visit to The Huntington Library and Gardens in Pasadena, followed by lunch in Old Town Pasadena to wrap up a memorable week of sights, sounds, and unforgettable LA vibes.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are several people and influences that have shaped my path and brought me to where I am today. First, my family has been an unwavering source of support—giving me the freedom to pursue my dreams while instilling values that keep me grounded. Their encouragement has given me resilience through both challenges and victories. Professionally, I’ve been lucky to have mentors who’ve believed in me, even before I fully believed in myself. Their insights and guidance have not only refined my skills but also inspired me to lead with integrity and empathy. There’s also a special credit to the artists, creatives, and changemakers I’ve worked alongside. They’ve shown me that marketing and communication are about more than just campaigns—they’re about building connections and creating genuine impact
My Friends and have been a constant source of joy and motivation, reminding me to appreciate every step along the way.
Life itself has been an incredible teacher—through paths I chose and those I didn’t, each moment shaping my journey in unique ways. There have been unexpected adventures, challenges, and choices that opened doors I hadn’t anticipated, all of which taught me to embrace the planned and the unplanned. I’m deeply grateful for each twist and turn that has brought me to where I am today.
