Meet Sathwik Gurappagari | Music Producer & Visual Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sathwik Gurappagari and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sathwik, looking back, what do you think was the most difficult decision you’ve had to make?
After graduating with a Bachelor’s in Technology, I faced a pivotal choice: either stay in India, working in the IT sector while growing my artist brand on the side, or take a bold leap by moving to Los Angeles to pursue music full-time. It was a financially risky decision, but I viewed it as an investment in my future, giving myself at least two years to see what I could achieve. Thankfully, the decision has paid off—I moved here, dedicated myself entirely, and poured my heart and soul into my work. I’m proud to say my growth has been strong, and I’m continually reaching new milestones in my career

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My artistry is rooted in a unique blend of electronic music and Audio-reactive visuals, with a focus on crafting immersive soundscapes that resonate both emotionally and energetically. What sets me apart is my ability to blend intricate sound design with accessible melodies, creating music that’s both boundary-pushing and approachable. I’m proud to say my work has been featured on major platforms, with support from BBC Radio, Riot Games, Spotify’s All New Dance, Bass Arcade & Apple music’s Unwind, Winter & Chilling out. My music has peaked on Top 100:Electronic on apple music and iTunes Charts.
Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy. I started my journey in Hyderabad,India building my brand while balancing a degree in Technology. The decision to move to Los Angeles and pursue music full-time was a major challenge—it was a financial and personal leap into the unknown. However, I viewed it as an investment in my career. Overcoming these challenges taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of networking. Along the way, I’ve learned that persistence and authenticity are key to growth in this industry.
What I’d like the world to know is that my brand, Kiwiani, is all about pushing sonic boundaries and connecting people through Audio + Visual experiences. My story is one of embracing risks, and I hope it inspires others to follow their passions fully. My journey is ongoing, and I’m excited to see where it leads.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’d start with some LA essentials—a morning visit to the Griffith Observatory for amazing city and Hollywood sign views, then a walk down Hollywood Boulevard. Then Take them to the Santa Monica pier and have drinks at High Rooftop Lounge in Venice for sunset.
We’d visit The Broad museum for modern art, then head over to Little Tokyo for ramen and some unique shops.
We’d do a morning hike at Runyon Canyon for a workout with stunning views. Later, we’d have a sunset picnic at Malibu’s El Matador Beach, complete with snacks and wine from a local market.
My most favourite spot is the Los Angeles crest highway, going there during sunset to just stopby for an amazing view and have a couple of beers 😉

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First i would like to give a shout out to my Mom & Dad for believing in my vision, and all of my homies that supported me
