Hi Porenia, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
We provide a calming and warm environment to all while, also serving great quality food and drinks to our customers. Our industry prioritizes personal connections with our costumers and we show that through our welcoming service!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As a POC woman-owned small business, it is very important to set a comfortable and welcoming environment for the entire community. Chapter II ensures that our values and mission is shown to all through our service. It is never an easy road to travel and there will always be bumps, but I share immense pride in having the supportive team that I do have to help make sure those values are shown to all. We always do our best to overcome and work through challenges, and make the best of it along the way.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am proud to say that I am a part of some of the best business neighbors and community anyone could ask for. Not only do we all share similar values, but the food/drink/shopping options is unlimited! Second street would be the best day trip I could share with a friend as the community is filled with varying cultural foods and shopping options. The locals are some of the best when it comes to making others feel like they’re right where they should be, and continuously show their love for their community by supporting said businesses and keeping close connections with all.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I could not put into words my appreciation for my amazing team at Chapter II. If it were not for them and their undying support, I would never have been able to accomplish my goals or be close to where I am in terms of personal and professional growth! Each and every one of them has bright ideas and an outstanding attitude that really keep Chapter II growing and thriving.
