Meet Yarin And Pauline Gani | Co-Owners of Create Construction

We had the good fortune of connecting with Yarin And Pauline Gani and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yarin and Pauline, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting our own business was something we had talked about for a while, we wanted to work for ourselves but it wasn’t until we saw an opportunity to blend our passions for real estate, design, and construction that we decided to take the leap in 2020 where we had the time to really dive in due to the pandemic. We both have backgrounds in the industry, but we felt like there was a gap in the market for a company that really focused on personalized, hands-on service, quality communication and creative design. We wanted to create something that felt more intimate, where clients could truly collaborate with us to bring their dream spaces to life. There’s something incredibly rewarding about taking a vision and turning it into a reality, and we knew we had the skills, dedication, and values to make it happen. Plus, as a family, we wanted to build something lasting that we could be proud of, not just for ourselves, but for our community too. So, it felt like the right time to build Create Construction.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Create Construction is a family-owned boutique firm specializing in remodeling and design services across Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura Counties. What sets us apart is our commitment to honesty, trust, and transparency. From the start, we’ve built our business on clear communication and a strong foundation of trust with our clients. We’re not just about building beautiful spaces – we’re about creating a positive, stress-free experience by being upfront about costs, timelines, and any challenges that arise.
Getting here hasn’t been easy. Starting during the pandemic presented challenges, but it taught us the importance of adaptability, clear communication, and building trust with our clients. We’ve learned that flexibility is key, and when things don’t go as planned, it’s about finding solutions and keeping the focus on delivering quality.
At Create Construction, we’re passionate about the relationships we build with our clients as much as the work we do. We want people to know that we care deeply about delivering exceptional results and providing a trustworthy, personalized experience. We’re excited to keep growing and making a lasting impact on the communities we serve.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Day 1: Laugh & Eat
We’d kick things off with a night of comedy at the Laugh Factory – we love a good laugh to start the trip! Afterward, we’d grab dinner at Night + Market, our favorite Thai spot. The food is incredible and spicy, just the way we like it.
Day 2: Outdoor Adventures
We’re all about staying active, so depending on the season, we’d either hike in the Santa Monica Mountains, surf at Malibu, or hit the slopes in Big Bear or Mammoth for some snowboarding. It’s all about enjoying California’s great outdoors.
Day 3: Food & Drinks
We’d dedicate a day to eating well – start with a casual breakfast. Later, we’d check out the sushi scene at one of our favorite hole-in-the-wall spots or try Koi or Catch LA for a classic LA experience. In the evening, we’d grab drinks with a view at Mama’s Shelter rooftop bar.
Day 4: Explore the Coast
We’d take a day trip to either Santa Barbara or San Diego. In Santa Barbara, we’d wine taste and enjoy the coastal views. In San Diego, we’d hit up Balboa Park or one of the beautiful beaches for a relaxed, scenic day.
Day 5: Chill & Discover
We’d wrap up the week with a visit to the Getty Museum or a stroll around Venice Beach. The day would end with a sunset walk at Santa Monica Pier and a delicious dinner at one of our favorite local spots.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
If we had to give a shoutout to anyone, it would definitely be to each other. Starting Create Construction was a true team effort, and we leaned on one another every step of the way. We made sure to really listen to each other’s ideas, and we both brought our own strengths to the table. Pauline handles the creative and design side of things, while my Yarin focuses on the construction and project management, but we always respect and trust each other’s judgment. While we might not always agree on everything, we always find a way to figure things out together. There were so many moments where we leaned on our complementary skills to make decisions and navigate challenges. The support and partnership we’ve shared have been absolutely essential to building the company we have today. It’s also worth noting that the support from our family and close friends has been invaluable, especially in those early days when we were figuring everything out. We’re incredibly grateful for the people in our lives who believed in us, encouraged us, and continue to cheer us on as we grow.
