We had the good fortune of connecting with Angelique Skinner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angelique, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thoughts behind starting my own business were deeply rooted in my passion for cameras and storytelling. From the beginning, I was driven to bring creative visions to life. I started my journey as an entrepreneur Shooting music videos, brand videos, documentaries, and more for various clients and celebrities as an independent entrepreneur. As I accumulated years of experience and filmed a vast range of content, I felt it was time to expand my reach. This led me to create a system that not only allowed me to tell impactful stories and produce films but also to help others succeed. The result was the launch of SLF Network TV, designed to showcase content and teach creators how to monetize their work effectively, fostering growth within the creative community.”

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At SLF Network, our vision is to create a platform that enlightens, innovates, and cultivates the minds of current and future generations. We provide opportunities, resources, and tools that empower creatives to thrive in the rapidly advancing world of technology and media. Our platform is a hub for collaboration, bringing like-minded individuals together to share meaningful stories and drive impactful change.

What sets SLF Network apart is our unwavering dedication to storytelling and community-building. I’m proud and excited about the community we are creating and the opportunity to inspire and empower others through film and storytelling.

Getting to where I am today has been a vision, persistence, and faith journey. It hasn’t been easy. There were many obstacles, but I overcame them by staying focused, pushing forward, and believing in my purpose. I understood that to achieve success, I had to keep moving, even when progress seemed slow, and trust that everything I worked for would pay off in time.

Along the way, I’ve learned the importance of consistency and time management. I’ve realized that nothing moves unless you do—the work is what makes the difference. Staying disciplined, learning new skills, and staying committed to the vision are key.

What I want the world to know about SLF Network is that we’re more than just a media platform—we’re here to uplift, inspire, and innovate. We’re a movement dedicated to empowering creators and fostering a culture of storytelling that leaves a lasting impact. SLF Network is here to make a difference, one story at a time.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Malibu Lagoon State Beach. Walk along the shore, and admire the stunning views of the Pacific.
Take a hike on the Solstice Canyon Trail. For lunch, Stop at Cafe Habana Malibu for a Cuban-inspired menu. Head to Catch LA, a rooftop restaurant with a trendy vibe and amazing seafood
