We had the good fortune of connecting with Bryce Way and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bryce, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I pursued photography and filmmaking because creating has always been a part of who I am. From a young age, I was drawn to capturing moments and telling stories through my camera. It’s not just about the final product, it’s about the process of exploring, experimenting, and connecting with people and places that inspires me. Photography and filmmaking allow me to express how I see the world and share that perspective with others.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from others is my focus on storytelling. I don’t just take photos or capture moments, I create them. I try to bring a narrative and emotion to life in every image, making each one feel intentional and meaningful. I got to where I am today through consistency. You don’t need to be the best right away, it’s more important to make progress and keep learning than to get stuck chasing perfection. Staying consistent has allowed me to grow and develop my style over time.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned along the way is to enjoy the present moment. In this career, it’s easy to constantly think about what’s ahead or focus too much on the future. But I’ve realized the importance of slowing down and appreciating the moments I’m in, especially the ones shared with the people around me. What I want the world to know about my work is that it’s not just about the visuals it’s about connection and the stories behind them.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If someone was visiting LA with me, I’d want to give them a mix of the classic spots and some hidden gems that I love. We’d definitely start with Griffith Observatory, it’s such an iconic location, and the views of the city are incredible. If we had time, we’d do a hike in Griffith Park to the top so we can watch the sunset, it’s just an amazing view that never gets old.

I’d also show them some of the lesser-known trails and overlooks around LA. There are so many tucked-away spots with amazing views that don’t get crowded. For the beach, we’d have to hit Laguna Beach. It’s one of my favorite places in California. The coves there make it feel completely different from any other beaches.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout goes to my parents, who have supported me since day one in pursuing this career. They believed and encouraged me to follow my passion, even when it meant taking risks. Their support has been invaluable, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without them. They’ve always been there to help me along the way, and for that, I’m incredibly grateful.
