We had the good fortune of connecting with Crystal Virgen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Crystal, how does your business help the community?
At Social Magnetism Agency, we believe in the profound impact of helping startups and individuals build purposeful businesses, thriving brands, and connected audiences. Our mission is to empower businesses, brands, and influencers in holistic wellness, clean beauty, sustainable fashion, and conscious living to educate and inspire meaningful change.

We understand that striving for your dreams and desires starts with everyday choices—choices that prioritize mind, body, and spirit. Today, we are surrounded by toxins and harmful chemicals that can leave us feeling disconnected and stuck. But we believe that raising awareness and educating the public can help others reclaim their health and take steps toward a more empowered, fulfilling life.

This is why we’re passionate about guiding entrepreneurs and influencers in building their businesses and brands.
By fostering growth in this niche, we’re creating opportunities for individuals and contributing to a movement of intentional living, healing, health, and wellness.

We’re dedicated to showing the world that we don’t have to settle for being unwell or stagnant—we can transform our reality through education, aligned action, and connection.

At our core, we aim to place the power back into the hands of creators, dreamers, and changemakers. Together, we can build freedom-based businesses that align with the values of wellness, love, and joy. Through authentic connection and a shared commitment to growth, we help our clients create the lives they desire—lives filled with passion, purpose, and community. Let’s create a legacy that inspires change, one brand and one dream at a time.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At Social Magnetism Agency, we genuinely prioritize people over profit. But valuing people also means helping them recognize their worth. Many of us, especially entrepreneurs, coaches, influencers, and artists, empathize deeply, love our work, and can lose sight of treating our craft as a business. That’s why I started this agency—to support dreamers, like myself, in building freedom-based businesses while staying true to their passions.

After 12 years as a hairstylist, my health began reacting to the chemicals I worked with daily. It was a wake-up call. I had always envisioned contributing to the beauty, fashion, and wellness industries in a broader way. That push led me to create an agency focused on partnering with clean, health-conscious, sustainable, and intentional lifestyle brands and professionals.

What sets us apart is our incredible team. From backend systems and tech to creative storytelling and branding, we blend structure and artistry to help brands build something lasting and authentic. What does this mean exactly? We take a deep dive into your business and hyper-specific goals. We identify where you are—whether it’s building a better business foundation, growing your audience, or creating a freedom-based business. Together, we help businesses create their “dream house”—solid on the inside and beautiful on the outside, designed to attract their ideal community.

This journey hasn’t been easy. I’ve learned to give myself grace, prioritize self-care, and lean on others. The biggest lesson? You can’t do it all alone. Asking for help and surrounding myself with the right people has been key to success.

Ultimately, our mission is simple: we want to be part of your success story, and we want you to be part of ours. Let’s grow, support one another, keep our frequency high, and reach our full potential—together.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Think urban hikes, Westside adventures, Pilates sessions, food tours, museum visits, a few dive bars, live shows, and rooftop pool days.

Dinner: Stroll through the Farmers Market at The Grove, savor a romantic date night at Amore, or gather your squad for a vibrant girls’ night out at Craig’s.

Play: Hike the breathtaking Malibu Canyons, unwind with a Sound Bath led by Ana Netanel overlooking Malibu, explore the artistic wonders at MOCA, and wrap up the evening with a nightcap and a Burlesque show at Petit Ermitage.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This question touches on the hyper-independence and self-worth wounds I’ve carried. Growing up, I always felt different—never entirely fitting in. As the oldest of seven boys and a sister, I was a non-conforming “popular loner.” I found inspiration in strangers, artists, entrepreneurs, and leaders, feeling most alive in seminars, listening to podcasts, or in rooms with “big fish” who had escaped the system.

To the authors and leaders—Tony Robbins, Joe Dispenza, David Ghiyam, Robert Greene, Jordan Peterson, Alan Watts—and business minds like Codie Sanchez, Chris Do, Leila Hormozi, and Elena Cardone: thank you for your stories and bravery.

A special thank you to my friend Erik Armstrong, who reconnected me to Source and awakened a powerful spiritual force within me. Those who get it, get it. And to a few notable professors who shaped my journey: you’ll never know how much your work meant to me.
