Hi Gift, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I was almost forty years old . I think it’s time for me to move forward in my life.
I spent many years working at a spa.
I believe I was ready to launch my own business. I always have that in my dreams.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Becoming an esthetician is challenging for me, especially since English is my second language.. Although I hold
a bachelor’s degree from Chiangmai University in Thailand and have been studying English for over ten years.I still find it difficult in United State.It is necessary to attend beauty school and successfully complete the state board examination.

When I opened my own studio.I found it to be quite challenging.I had no prior experience with advertising ,websites ,social media or any aspect of running
a business.However,I made an effort to learn and handle everything on my own.

Since my studio opened in late 2018,
I initially only had a few clients.
Overtime, I gained more clients through referrals.Things were looking up,but then COVID-19 struck in 2020, and all beauty studios were required to close for several months. I was feeling quite down,especially since this is my dream job and I’ve invested so much in my studio.I really didn’t want to lose it. So I decided to offer discount on facial packages.I shared the promotion on social media and reached out to my clients.
Thankfully, I received great feedback!They purchased a lot of facial packages from me ,even while the studio is still closed. This way , I can cover the studio rent and expenses.

Gift 4 your face,it’s been six years now, and I’ve been focusing on organic products with affordable prices.
Currently,I offer a variety of skin care brands and treatments, including Eminence organic skincare , Esthemax Hydro jelly mask,Hydro glow facial, Oxygen dome facial,Dermaplane facial etc.

I am really proud of myself for never giving up and I’ve learned that believing in yourself is essential if you want to chase your dreams ..

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend is visiting me.I’d definitely take them to my studio first,

Thai Town,Los Angeles .I will treat them to my best organic skincare treatment.
Once their skin is glowing and beautiful we can stroll around Thai Town.There are so many great Thai restaurants here,so it might be tough to pick just one.I would recommend trying Pad Thai Papaya salad,Green curry,Larb ,Tom Yum soups and Boat noodles.

On Saturday morning,I am planning to take them to grab some Thai street food from local Thai vendors on Hobart Street.It’s really authentic,
budget -friendly,and a great way to support the Thai community around here.

On Sunday ,I am planning to take them to the Thai temple in North Hollywood. We will show some respect to the Thai monks and enjoy some delicious Thai street food while we are there.
Sometimes, you can catch the Thai festival at Thai temple too,like Loy Kathong or Songkran.
I will wrap up the day with a sunset at Griffith Park,where you can see the city of Los Angeles.The view in the evening is just stunning.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to express gratitude to myself for never giving up.From the beginning , I faced negativity from several individuals.They said my studio was too small , not impressive.They believed no one would visit my shop and that it would not succeed due to my lack of business experience.
I continually remind myself and concentrate on my goals.
