Hi Melina Valeria, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
One of the habits that has helped me succeed is consistency. Building a career as a content creator, especially in the beauty and fashion industry, requires showing up every day with fresh ideas and energy. I made it a habit to stay creative and always connected to my audience, whether that’s through dynamic videos, authentic storytelling, or sharing moments from my everyday life.

Another key habit is adaptability. Social media trends, algorithms, and audiences are always changing. Staying flexible, experimenting with new content formats, and evolving my personal brand have allowed me to keep growing and collaborating with global brands like L’Oréal, YSL, MAC Cosmetics, Armani, etc.

Finally, discipline and balance have been crucial. Beyond social media, I co-founded my fashion brand, Dessért, where attention to detail and understanding what women need is at the heart of everything we create. Managing both my career as an influencer and entrepreneur has taught me the importance of prioritization and passion in every project I take on.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My journey has been defined by perseverance, independence, and a relentless desire to create opportunities for myself. I come from Argentina, a middle-class family who always believed in me, even when it was difficult to afford my education. Attending a private university was something I never thought possible, but my parents worked hard to make it happen. Seeing their sacrifices and trust in me became the driving force behind my ambition.

Growing up, I didn’t have the privileges that many of my peers had. I wanted to become independent as soon as I could, to help my family and achieve my own dreams. I started working young, understanding that every small step would bring me closer to the life I wanted: to travel, to explore, and to create. I had no contacts, no shortcuts – only my determination to adapt, learn, and build a future for myself.

When I discovered social media, I saw its potential as a platform to take me wherever I wanted to go. I dove in with no fear of failure or judgment, committed to sharing my passions and connecting with people. I worked hard to establish myself, creating content that reflected my vision and resonated with others. Eventually, I grew into a creator who collaborates with global brands like L’Oréal, YSL, and MAC Cosmetics, something that once felt like a distant dream.

But my biggest milestone came when I launched Dessért, my fashion brand, alongside my best friend from high school. Starting a business together was something we never thought possible, yet here we are – building a brand that celebrates femininity, independence, and confidence. Dessért is a reflection of our journey: two women from Argentina who dared to dream and worked tirelessly to make it happen.

I am proud to have built my career as an independent woman and entrepreneur without shortcuts or connections, relying solely on my ability to adapt, learn, and grow. My story is proof that no matter where you come from, whether it’s Argentina or anywhere in the world, hard work and resilience can take you farther than you ever imagined. I hope to inspire others to believe in themselves, take risks, and never let their circumstances define their future.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting Argentina, I would make sure they experience everything that makes my country unique: the food, the history, and the culture that inspire me every day.

We’d start in Buenos Aires, the heart of Argentina, where the European influence blends with Latin passion. We’d go straight to Pizzería Guerrín for a slice of classic Argentine pizza – a local favorite that’s been around for generations. For dinner, I’d take them to Don Julio or La Cabrera, two of the best steakhouses in the city, where you can taste Argentina’s world-famous beef, prepared to perfection.

In between meals, we’d explore cultural gems like El Ateneo Grand Splendid, one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world, and Teatro Colón, an architectural masterpiece and one of the most prestigious opera houses globally. For a more vibrant experience, we’d walk through the colorful streets of La Boca, visit the antique markets in San Telmo, or enjoy the trendy boutiques and cafés of Palermo.

If my friend wanted to explore beyond Buenos Aires, we’d head to Mendoza, the wine capital of Argentina, where you can enjoy incredible Malbec wines surrounded by breathtaking views of the Andes. We’d also visit the stunning landscapes of Patagonia, with its glaciers and mountains, or go to the northern provinces like Salta and Jujuy, where the culture is rich, and the landscapes are painted with colorful hills.

Argentina is a country of contrasts – from vibrant cities to serene nature, from tango in the streets to wine in the mountains. It’s a place that shaped who I am, and sharing its beauty, history, and flavors with someone special would be the perfect way to experience it all.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to my parents, who have always been my greatest supporters. From day one, they believed in me and every dream I wanted to chase, even when it seemed uncertain or when there was a chance I might fail. They never said no to me – instead, they stood by my side, encouraging me and supporting me both physically and mentally.

They were there for me every step of the way, taking care of me with so much love. Until I was old enough, they never let me go anywhere alone, always prioritizing my safety and well-being. I owe so much of my success to their unwavering love and trust.

I also want to mention my boyfriend, who supports me in every decision and inspires me to grow every day. Having such a solid foundation of love and support has made all the difference in my journey.
