We had the good fortune of connecting with Kendra Muecke and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kendra, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
Thanks so much for asking. There are so many things that inspire me in my day to day life. From my favorite films to the time of year and weather, I find myself getting lost best in the moment by appreciating my journey and exploring new ways of thinking about life at the same time.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have known I am an artist since I was a little kid; I feel the journey to becoming the songwriter and singer I am today is very influenced by how I reacted to growing up in life. It helped alleviate a lot of pressure on wondering what I was made for, because I always knew I wanted to pursue acting, singing, and dancing.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Amazing question. The Hollywood Bowl, Venice Beach, Malibu to see my alma mater Pepperdine, and of course, all the best restaurants: The Polo Lounge at Beverly Hills Hotel, Nate ‘n Als in Beverly Hills near Rodeo Boulevard, and dinner on the Sunset Strip.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
As always, the recognition goes to my loved ones. I would specifically like to honor Derrick Cobb. My good friend, gone too soon.
