Meet Richard Mcwhorter | Managing Partner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Richard Mcwhorter and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Richard, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think risk needs to be calculated. The idea of taking risk is essential in anything we do but understanding, to the best of our ability the downside to that risk, is the most important thing to try and understand.
When risk pays off, everything is good. When risk results in failure, that’s when need to understand the downside and be able to accept this potential.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am most proud of how I continue to be curious and adapt to the changing environment. The constant want to learn more and to expand my horizons has kept my career interesting and exciting. It has also created a confidence and an understanding that the pursuit of fact will never truly be accomplished.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Los Angeles has such a large range of places that fit this itinerary.
Golf (Riviera CC, Bel Air CC, Wilshire CC, and Annandale CC)
Cigars and Cocktails (Grand Havana Room in Beverly Hills
Poker (too many games available to list here)
Restaurants (Dinner at Steak 48, N/naka, Vespertine, and Nobu Malibu)
That’s the range I would spend my week with my friend visiting.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My wife. My six children.
The clients that have entrusted their finances to me over the past 32 years.
