Hi Dean, how does your business help the community?
We help our audience, community etc., by making it easier for them to understand elements of the financial markets, the greater economy, the economic climate, interest rates and investing. We help those that lack the sophistication, experience or expertise in basic finance and economics to understand what’s going on in the big picture and how it may impact them personally. We bring factual and empirical based information to help people see things logically, and more importantly help debunk false narratives or non-fact based information (disinformation) that may cause bad decision making particularly in finance and investing.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have been in finance my entire career, started my career as a stockbroker, and then brokerage operations and relationship management. I then had a short stint in the tech world, as a business and finance systems consulting. I also spent several years as a CFO before i became a commercial banker.
What i have learned? Hard work always pays off. Discipline, perseverance, a strong work ethic and the relentless pursuit of knowledge are key guiding principles that i live by. If you are going to do something professionally or personally, always give 100%+, never do anything “half-assed” so to speak.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Food – Uovo, Si-Mon, Baltaire, Belle’s Beach House, Scopa, Bacari, tons more i can think of right now.
Entertainment – beach, theme parks, comedy shows, etc.
Places to visit – santa monica pier, santa barbara, malibu etc.
If it was my best friend visiting, i would also take them flying so they can see LA from the sky, would fly over LB to see the queen mary, then over Griffith park/hollywood sign, then along the coast to santa barbara.
