We had the good fortune of connecting with Elina Danilova and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elina, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
Many people are most likely unaware of how much the spray tanning industry has shifted towards clean, sustainable beauty. It’s no longer just about achieving a tan – clients are increasingly seeking products that are free from harmful chemicals, cruelty-free, and eco-conscious. This focus on sustainability is closely tied to the high level of customization and expertise required for each session, as spray tanning is far from a one-size-fits-all process. Each tan is carefully tailored to the client’s unique skin tone, undertone, and texture to create a flawless, radiant finish that supports both health and environmental awareness. At Elina Spray Tan LA, we prioritize using organic, natural ingredients that not only enhance your glow but also nourish the skin, allowing our clients to look and feel their best without compromising their well-being or the planet. It’s all about offering a truly holistic beauty experience.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m Elina Danilova, a life coach, wellness influencer, and female entrepreneur. I’m passionate about helping others live with purpose, positivity, and transformation. I’m also the founder of Elina Spray Tan LA, a premium organic spray tanning salon in Los Angeles, where we deliver a radiant glow using clean, organic ingredients that nourish the skin. Additionally, I’m the creator of I Love You Vitamin Gummies, a wellness product line made in Los Angeles, designed to promote self-love and overall well-being with delicious, high-quality gummies.

I’ve always felt a calling to do more, to contribute in a way that truly impacts others. A little over three years ago, I made the life-changing decision to step away from my 9-5 job, realizing that it wasn’t going to help me achieve the dreams I had for myself. Was it easy? Not at all. It took me a long time to step out of my comfort zone. I felt stable and secure, but there was always a voice deep inside urging me to venture out. I knew I didn’t want to stay idle. To follow your dreams and passions, you have to take risks, try new things, and step away from the comfort cushion. As the saying goes, “If there’s no risk, there’s no reward.”
Leaving the security of a steady job was terrifying. There were many days in building my businesses that were filled with uncertainty, discomfort, and doubt, but I knew that taking that first step was crucial. There were “lovely” moments of panic and insecurity, but I really had to trust my experience and knowledge. I am incredibly grateful for my family and friends who were there to support and encourage me through this big adventure. The challenges, fears, and insecurities were real, but they made every step of the journey so rewarding. It helped me rediscover myself and my voice. Running a business and coaching challenges you to think from a different perspective—you have to learn the dynamics and psychology of it all. You’re no longer a passenger; you’re the driver. You get the best opportunity to innovate, develop, and truly help people. Everything starts with the first step, and I knew if I didn’t take it, I’d forever wonder, “What if?”

Having worked in the medical field for almost a decade, I enjoyed the safety and stability it provided. But it also showed me a gap in the healing process—too much focus on external care and not enough on empowering individuals to take control of their health and well-being from the inside out. That’s when I knew it was time to transition to entrepreneurship. I’m so grateful for my years in the medical field. I learned that healing goes beyond just addressing physical symptoms; it’s about empowering individuals to take control of their health and well-being from the inside out. This realization has shaped my approach to wellness, including my genuine desire to support and uplift those I work with.

Choosing to leave a steady job was hard, and the early days were filled with uncertainty. I had to learn to be comfortable with discomfort, stay focused on my mission, and trust the process. Entrepreneurship is hard—you lose money, sleep, and time. But working a 9-5 can be just as hard. Sometimes you feel under-challenged, underpaid, or stagnant. I had to choose my hard.

The challenges I faced were significant. At first, putting myself out there on social media and speaking publicly felt daunting. When you step into the action field, you wear many hats—you hustle, learn, and experience the rollercoaster. But it makes you feel alive, and the most rewarding part is seeing the impact it has on your clients and customers. I’d always been behind the scenes, so stepping in front of the camera was a huge shift. I had to tap into my creative side—something entirely new for me. I had to find a balance between the technical, business side and the emotional, personal elements of being a wellness coach and entrepreneur. But I learned that growth only happens when you’re willing to step into discomfort.

Having the right support system and learning to trust my intuition were crucial. In business, you don’t always have the answers at the start, and trusting the process has been one of my biggest lessons. Each challenge became an opportunity for growth, and now I feel more connected to my mission than ever. It’s been a journey of rediscovering myself, my purpose, and finding the courage to live authentically.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting, I’d want to show her the best parts of Los Angeles, filled with adventure, relaxation, and delicious food. We’d kick things off with a hike up to the Wisdom Tree, one of my favorite spots in the city. It’s this peaceful place with the most incredible view of LA at the top—it’s a total reward after the hike. I always go solo or drag a friend along because it’s so worth it. After that, we’d hit a Pilates class, because, honestly, in LA, it’s all about staying active and feeling your best. For lunch, we’d go to L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele, where the vibe is cozy, and their Margherita pizza is absolutely a must. Dinner would either be at Avra for Mediterranean flavors or Amour for French cuisine—both places are just incredible. I’d also want to show her a bit of LA’s entertainment side, so we’d check out a Toledo show at Petite Ermitage—it’s such an intimate and fun experience. For brunch, we’d head to Zinque on Melrose, one of my favorite spots. The food is always fresh, and the vibe is super laid-back. And of course, no trip to LA would be complete without the beach! We’d spend some time running barefoot in the sand, feeling the ocean breeze, and recharging. This mix of nature, fitness, amazing food, and entertainment is what makes LA so special to me, and I know it would be an unforgettable week for her too!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my incredible clients, who trust me to empower them and boost their confidence through the bronzed look that spray tanning provides. Their satisfaction inspires me to continually refine my craft and deliver the best experience possible.

I also want to acknowledge my family and friends for their unwavering support.

I’m so grateful to be in a space where both women and men can embrace their glow from the inside out. It’s an honor to play a role in their transformation, and I look forward to continuing to uplift others through beauty and confidence.
