Meet Stacey Lauren | Movement Architect

We had the good fortune of connecting with Stacey Lauren and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stacey, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success—and the success of my brand—has been the ability to help people take the ideas and stories in their heads and turn them into something real. Whether it’s through podcasts, communities, events, speaking engagements, or even movies, I guide people through the process of sharing their voice and then building a business model around it.
This all comes down to two key elements:
The Comfort Circle Framework – Instead of forcing people to take massive leaps outside their comfort zones, I meet them where they are and help them take intentional, manageable steps. Most people say, “I need to get out of my comfort zone,” but that can feel overwhelming. Instead, I help them expand their Comfort Circle—making growth feel less intimidating and more natural.
The Power of a Shared Goal Community – Friends and family may support you, but they don’t always understand what you’re trying to do. That’s why I help people surround themselves with others who share their vision. Being part of a group that’s striving for the same goal creates momentum, accountability, and confidence that you simply can’t get alone.
This approach applies to every area of success:
Sharing Your Story – Many people have a powerful story but are afraid to put it out there. I help them go from idea to sharing in a way that feels safe and structured.
Turning Ideas into Movements – Whether it’s through a podcast, an event, or a film, I help people take their message beyond themselves and build something bigger.
Building a Sustainable Business Model – I show people how to take their passion and structure it into a real business, so their voice not only reaches people but also generates income and impact.
At the core of my success is the belief that anyone can create something meaningful if they have the right framework and the right people supporting them. It’s not about making one giant leap—it’s about taking the next step, again and again, until your idea becomes a reality.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Building Movements Through Messy Action: The Heart of My Business
At its core, my business is about helping people take the ideas and stories in their heads and turn them into something real—something that creates impact, builds connection, and even generates income. I do this through podcasts, communities, events, speaking engagements, and now even movies.
What truly sets my work apart is that I embrace the messy middle—I don’t teach from a polished, final version of success. I teach from the journey itself. Most people think they need to have everything figured out before they start. They wait until they feel “ready,” but that moment never comes.
I help people release the need to be perfect, because once you do, you move faster, take bigger risks, and accomplish things you never thought possible. And now, I’m expanding that impact by creating movies with movements—helping people turn their stories into something that doesn’t just inspire but creates real change.
The Comfort Circle Framework: The 3 Steps to Owning Your Voice
A huge part of my work is guiding people through the Comfort Circle Framework, a step-by-step process that makes it easier (and way more fun) to step into visibility. Instead of jumping straight into something scary, we expand your comfort circle, making growth feel natural instead of overwhelming. The steps are:
Find Your Voice – Get clear on what you want to say, break through self-doubt, and own your unique message.
Share Your Voice – Put your message out into the world through podcasts, communities, speaking, events, and now movies.
Monetize Your Voice – Turn your passion into a sustainable business model so your message doesn’t just impact people—it also supports your life.
What Sets My Business Apart: The Power of a Group with a Shared Goal
What truly sets my business apart is that I don’t just help people take action—I help them do it inside a group with a shared goal.
Most people rely on their friends and family for support, and while they may love and encourage you, they often don’t understand your journey. They might question your big ideas, worry about your risks, or simply not relate to what you’re trying to build. That’s where most people get stuck—they’re surrounded by love, but not by momentum.
In my business, I create communities of people who share the same goal, whether it’s launching a podcast, building an audience, sharing their story, or stepping into leadership. When you’re surrounded by others who are working toward the same thing, something incredible happens:
You move faster because you see others doing it too.
You gain confidence because you’re not the only one figuring it out.
You take bigger risks because you’re in an environment where action is the norm, not the exception.
You stop second-guessing yourself because you’re getting feedback from people who get it.
This group momentum process is what makes my work so different. It’s not about learning alone—it’s about growing with others who are just as invested in success as you are.
What I’m Most Proud Of & Excited About
What excites me most is seeing people step into their voice and turn their message into something bigger. I’ve watched people go from being afraid to share their stories to launching thriving communities, hosting events, writing books, and even creating movements that change lives.
One of my proudest moments was seeing the Do The Thing Challenges take on a life of their own. I’ve had the honor of working with people like Laura Carney, Melissa Gilbert, and Nicole Haase, who have embraced these challenges and expanded them in ways I never imagined.
Knowing that my work is helping others not just dream bigger but actually take action is what fuels everything I do.
And now, taking things even further, I’m creating movies that don’t just tell a story but start movements. Because when people see themselves reflected in powerful stories, it inspires them to take action in their own lives.
How I Got Here & The Challenges Along the Way
The journey has been anything but easy. When I first started, I had no roadmap—I had to figure things out as I went, testing, failing, pivoting, and refining.
One of my biggest challenges? Overcoming my own fear of being seen.
For years, I stayed behind the scenes, avoiding the spotlight. I knew I had something valuable to share, but I let fear hold me back. It wasn’t until I started the Do The Thing Podcast that I realized success isn’t about waiting until you feel ready—it’s about doing the thing anyway.
Lessons Learned
You don’t have to take a giant leap—you just have to take the next step.
Rejection isn’t failure—it’s just part of the process. I applied to over 20 TEDx talks before getting accepted. Most people would give up, but I saw it as part of the journey.
Your friends and family may love you, but they aren’t always your best supporters. You need to find a community of people who share your goal and understand your vision.
Opportunities are everywhere—if you’re willing to take action.
Momentum happens faster in a group. Being around people who are also moving forward makes taking action feel easier and more natural.
What I Want the World to Know About My Brand & Story
I want people to know that they already have everything they need inside them—they just need the right environment and support to bring it out.
My brand is about helping people do the thing they’ve been putting off—whether that’s sharing their story, launching their idea, or stepping into a bigger vision for themselves. And the best part? When you do it with a group that shares your goal, the momentum becomes unstoppable.
Now, I’m taking this mission even further by creating movies that inspire action. Because a story is powerful—but a story that sparks movement? That changes lives.
So if you’ve been sitting on an idea, waiting for the right moment—this is your sign. It’s time to step up, share your voice, and do the thing. 💙

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of the days we would go to Hike Cowles Mountain – There’s something powerful about starting the day with a climb. It’s a chance to feel accomplished, get closer connected, and set the tone for an incredible week.
Late Morning: Breakfast & coffee at a nearby restaurant – After our hike, we’d reward ourselves with a delicious meal and coffee, taking our time to talk about life, business, and everything in between.
Afternoon: Jacuzzi & relaxation at my house – Nothing beats soaking in the view while unwinding in the hot tub, letting the morning’s adventure settle in.
Evening: Dinner at Loews Hotel –We head to the beautiful waterfront restaurant at Loews, soaking in the stunning sunset and savoring the night.
Another day we would go Kayaking around Coronado Bay – Exploring the calm waters, taking in the beauty of the city skyline and the historic Hotel Del Coronado.
Afternoon: Beach day at Coronado – Relaxing on the sand, enjoying the ocean breeze, and maybe even grabbing some ice cream.
Evening: Casual dinner with ocean views
Another day we would go bike riding, perhaps a trip to Ferry Landing and stopping at some of the stores to unwind a bit more.
And if my friend was single I would have fun taking her to Mission Bay and have her do some of the dating dares I use in the Dating challenges I like to do on occasion.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to take a moment to celebrate Laura Carney, the incredible author of My Father’s List, and someone who has been a true champion of my journey.
I first heard Laura on an NPR podcast, sharing her story of completing her late father’s bucket list, and I was instantly drawn to her mission. The way she honored his legacy by stepping into adventure and embracing the unknown deeply resonated with me. I reached out and asked if she’d be open to an interview on my podcast—and she said yes. That one conversation turned into her joining an expert panel on starting a book, which led to us co-hosting a bucket list challenge for the Do The Thing community.
But beyond the projects and collaborations, Laura has supported me at every step.
When I was preparing for my TEDx talk, she was my biggest cheerleader. She encouraged me, believed in me, and reminded me that my message mattered. She is the kind of person we all need in our lives—the ones who don’t just support our dreams but help make them possible.
Through Laura, I was introduced to Melissa Gilbert and Nicole Haase’s company, Modern Prairie, where we brought both the Bucket List Challenge and the Find Your Voice Challenge to life. Now, they’ve embraced Do The Thing challenges as part of their mission.
Laura embodies what it means to lift others up. She is proof that when we surround ourselves with people who share our vision and believe in our potential, we can go further than we ever imagined.
Thank you, Laura, for being such a bright light, a constant supporter, and a true example of what it means to do the thing. 💙
