Meet Ashley

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Work-life balance has completely changed since having my children because I want to be there whenever they need me. Owning my own business gives me the flexibility to manage both work and home life-especially as a homeschooling parent, where balance is essential.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
There are so many forms of making art but as for me I am a balloon artist. Being a part of someone’s important milestones in life is so beautiful to me. Being able to bring someone’s vision to life with balloons is something I hold so dear. In this industry there is always new trends to follow and you are constantly learning something new. There are so many lesson I’ve learning along the way but the most important is to be kind and always believe in yourself.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My itinerary for any friend is taking them eating to the best spots I know and getting a little self care done.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
In my home life my partner is so supportive and always believes and encourages me in all aspects of life. In my work life Sabrina and Melissa from Stay Golden Designs. Sabrina believed in me when I did not believe in myself she encouraged me to launch my own balloon business. Her and Melissa have been the most supportive friends in this industry and thanks to them I’ve been lucky enough to be apart of the most amazing events and met such wonderful clients and vendor in this industry and I am forever grateful.
