Today we’re excited to be connecting with Jarred Fixler again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Jarred , we are so thrilled to be connecting again and can’t wait to hear about all the amazing things you have been up to. Before we jump into all of that, some of our readers might have missed our prior interview, so can you take a moment to reintroduce yourself?
My name is Jarred Fixler and I am the owner of Motorsport Exotica. We specialize in high performance motorcycle applications including race preparations, custom projects, dynamometer tuning, suspension and trackside support along with having a full 3000 sqft retail experiance center.

We have been in open to the public for 10 years this year and have recently relocated from our Hollywood facility to our new 11,000 sqft experience center in Burbank CA. Our new shop incorporates not only Motorsport Exotica but also Confidential Motorsports LA as well as working with Top Condition Detailing.

We at Motorsport Exotica pride ourselves on our credo, “How you do anything, is how you do everything”. This mantra was spoken to me years ago by a respected friend and has resonated with me ever since. Such a simple concept that can play into every avenue of life. These works are written around the shop to remind each and every employee that nothing is too small, no detail doesn’t matter, no spec of dirt is worth overlooking. How each and every bike from our in-house MotoAmerica team bikes, all the way down to our insurance crash estimate customers bikes are treated the same. Each action is worth doing 100% every time. If you have the ability to perform to the Exotica white glove standard on one thing, you have the ability to match that standard on everything.

Great, so let’s jump into an update on what you have been up to since we last spoke. What can you share with us?
The biggest change we really have since our last interview a few years back is our new facility. A brief backstory, after our humble beginnings starting off a 1 car garage near Downtown La, a year later moving into a 1,000 sqft shop in Hollywood and now 10 years forward, working with Confidential Motorsports LA and Top Condition to create a motorsport concierge megaplex here in Burbank CA.

With over 11,000 sqft at our disposal we have curated a full top shelf facility. Equipped with a state of the art dyno room, suspension services tables, 6,000 sqft shop space, 3,000 sqft retail experience center, detailing facility, vehicle storage arena and full event and media space, Motorsport Exotica and Confidential Motorsports LA are taking the game to a new level.

MSE is also stoked to announce some invitational track day events. We will be hosting some test and tune days this season that will be open to by request clients on both 2 and 4 wheels. These events are locally held, catered and coached by seasoned professionals. This is the epitome of a concierge white glove track day.

With our new partnership with Confidential Motorsports, we are working to host networking events, GP and F1 viewing parties, social gatherings as well as expand into some 4 wheeled events. Stay tuned and be on the look out for MSE and Confidential collabs.

We also want to give folks a chance to get to know you a bit better so we’ve prepared a fun lightning round of questions. Ready?

What do you want people to remember about you and your brand? What are some of things that you feel are most important, unique, special, etc?
My biggest thing with the whole industry is the transparency of what we do. Being able to speak to a client about their specific needs and helping to separate “want” from “need”. Everyone wants everything but not everyone needs everything.

I take pride in being forthcoming to clients in the details of what will actually make a difference to their bike and skills and what is a bling factor and something they just really think is cool and want. We build a ton of bikes for a ton of people with a wide arrange of wallet size and skill size. Not everything works for everyone. Sometimes things must be done in stages to accommodate a clients financial situation where are other times customers may just want a one and done approach on a dream bike. It’s our job to discuss these needs with them to help achieve the goal in a fully transparent way.

I hear way too many times that someone was sold a part without being told that there are 4 other parts needed to make that one initial part work. Clearly the salesperson wasn’t transparent and was just gunning for the initial sale. This is extremely frustrating because we then get clients that come into the shop with that online purchased part and have no clue what else is needed or what must be removed from there bike to make it fit/work. We then take the grunt of frustration from the customer because Joe Schmo didn’t tell them that those are race only parts, or only work as a single person bike.

I also really hate the “behind the curtain” vibe you get a many shops and dealerships. You sign in up front and then your bike disappears into the black back of house abyss and thats that…. I enjoy giving our customers shop tours, explaining the work stations, walking them into the dyno room and letting them see where there pride and joy bike is going to be worked on. Having customers see the technicians and meeting them. Thats what this is all about.

Motorsport Exotica is in a passion based business. There is nothing we do that you NEED. Everything we do is some level of want. If when you come to our facility and interact with our staff you do not feel the passion we have for each bike and the level of love that we put into the builds then we have failed you. My dream is to never fail a client on that front. To always have each customer leave with more knowledge and a bigger smile then when they walked in.
