We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamie Aronson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jamie, what role has risk played in your life or career?
My entire adult life has been taking one risk after another. I’ve seen from others that playing it safe is an illusion, as life can be painfully unpredictable. I told myself if life is going to be challenging no matter what, I might as well put that effort towards pursuing what I want most. Anything else just isn’t worth the struggle to me! I made a decision years ago that my sense of success is based on how aligned I feel with my passion and purpose. I feel fulfilled when I know I’m on that path, and risk is often a major player in this game. I have been known to shift/ pivot/ make adjustments in most areas of my life and as often as it takes (sometimes every few months) until it feels like the right fit. This includes making changes in the following areas: Moving homes (and sometimes even states), dating, friendships, and day jobs. After 15 years of this habit, I finally feel I’m in a sustainable pocket that will bring me to my next level up. I’ve been in a constant state of unrest. However, my brother tells me I’m the most resilient person he knows with an insanely good attitude considering the circumstances I’ve lived through. I’ve gotten really good at being comfortable with being uncomfortable, and that is a key to unlocking our dreams.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am an actress first and foremost, yet I am so much more than an actress. It’s amazing to see the skills and interests I’ve developed along the way in pursuit of my acting career. I have become a filmmaker, a painter, a marketing consultant, a hairstylist, and an energy healer. Put another way, I’m a Creative Energy Coach. One of my proudest moments of my life was a culmination of many of these skills combined. In Fall 2024, I produced and hosted an event in downtown Los Angeles. It was the LA premiere of A Divorce Story- my debut feature film as a lead actress. I painted a mural at this venue and used it as the backdrop for my red carpet photos! I had a celebrity (Isaac C. Singleton Jr., Pirates of the Caribbean) moderate my Q&A where I made my first public announcement that my film had been distributed to streaming platforms (Amazon and Tubi)! I also got to announce that we got 6 nominations (including Best Actress for my performance) and won Best Feature Film in the English Language at two separate film festivals in France earlier that year! With the help of my supporting community, I was actually able to raise money to send me to France and accept my award in person! These experiences are some of my happiest memories of my life, and they feel like quite a reward for everything I’ve overcome to get here. Key factors that stand out for setting me in the right direction include: Reading the Celestine Prophecy, the Secret, the Seat of the Soul, Deepak Chopra books, and going to a seminar called the Landmark Forum. Getting certified as a Reiki energy healer also made a huge difference for me. Besides learning about spirituality, I’ve had to learn about Psychology, self-love, economics, and business. One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that we become a combination of the 5 people we spend the most time with, so choose your tribe wisely!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of my favorite spots include: Lake Shrine (a meditation garden), Sun Cafe and Cafe Gratitude (vegan restaurants with great food and super cute vibes!), Republic of Pie, Alcove and Sabor Y Cultura (coffee shops), Angeles National Forest (there are some lovely hikes there), and Yamashiro (Jay Davis hosts incredible comedy shows there!).

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am dedicating my Shoutout to Renee Garcia. She is my mentor and the reason I was able to move back out to LA. I would also like to give special thanks to my parents, Kevin Mounce, Brian Antezana, and Anthony Carlo.
