Hi Eryn Govenar, Bella Boghossian, Lindsy Rapp, Megan Rapp, and Olivia Cody, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
We’re proud to say we were born and raised in the beautiful city of Los Angeles, California—specifically in the San Fernando Valley. Our friendship began in elementary school, and through every stage of life, we’ve stayed by each other’s sides. Now, post-college, we’re more grateful than ever for the bond we’ve shared since childhood—a connection that has only grown stronger with time.

In December 2023, we were halfway through our senior year of college, staring into the unknown. As we returned home for winter break from our out-of-state universities, we decided to reconnect over a Secret Santa party. Excited yet intimidated by the next chapter of our lives, we had an idea—why not channel our shared passion into something bigger? And so, Your Friends in LA was born.

What started as a way to share our love for our hometown has turned into an incredible journey, filled with opportunities we never expected. We’ve had the chance to collaborate with brands and companies we once only dreamed of working with, making this experience even more surreal. The outpouring of support from our growing community has been overwhelming, and we’re beyond grateful to showcase LA—the city we love and call home—through our own lens. This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to see where the road takes us next.

@YourFriendsInLA is a social media account focused on showcasing the vibrant life, restaurants, and activities in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. Our content highlights new and trendy content tailored to those excited to visit Los Angeles or locals looking for a new favorite place. Our content highlights a range of activities, from hidden gems to popular attractions in Los Angeles and the greater LA area. By actively participating in current trends, we’ve managed to keep our content fresh and appealing. Furthermore, our interactions with local restaurants and stores enrich the content and foster a sense of community among our viewers and the places we feature, making the account a go-to guide for experiencing the best of Los Angeles.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As locals, we believe the best way to experience LA is by blending the city vibe with the beach scene. Start your weekend in West Hollywood, checking out the Hollywood Walk of Fame before grabbing a matcha at Community Goods. Don’t forget to stroll through Larchmont Village, especially on Sundays when the farmers market is in full swing. For breakfast, you have to try the city’s best breakfast burrito at Croft Alley in Beverly Hills. As the day winds down, head to the West Hollywood Edition rooftop for stunning 360-degree views of the Hollywood Hills while enjoying a drink at sunset.
One of the things we love most about LA is its perfect balance of city energy and beach vibes. The next day, head to Abbot Kinney in Venice Beach to explore the shops and grab a bite. Take a few blocks to walk along the boardwalk and stop at Dudley Market for some great food and a glass of wine. Then make your way up to the high rooftop at Hotel Erwin for an unforgettable sunset view over the water. It’s the perfect spot to take in the breathtaking sights of Venice Beach as the sun dips below the horizon. And of course, no trip to LA is complete without some late-night street tacos to cap off your day!
