We had the good fortune of connecting with Mimi Perryman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mimi, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Events With LML was not the first business I started. From about High School I always knew I wanted to be a mogul. I always was a create my own path kind of person. I was a natural born leader, risk taker, and hustler since I could remember. So, my first business was me taking that leap to create my own lane. For several reasons it never took off. I was in the service industry to help pay my way through college. Realizing how much of a good living I made I stayed well into my mid 20s which led me into management positions and moving up. Knowing that wasn’t my ultimate goals I decided to do private gigs on the side as a bartender to slowly make my own money to break away from working in bars. As it began to take off and clientele become more than I could handle alone I brought a few other bartenders in. I then thought to myself, “Why continue to build someone else dreams by working for them when I can build my own?”, Events With LML was born.

What should our readers know about your business?
Events With LML is an event staffing, planning, and catering service for private events. We service everything from family celebrations, weddings, corporate events, concerts and more. What sets us apart is our standard of service and our one stop shop services. We create experiences with our clients. Bring professionalism, fun energy, and exceptional work. We go above and beyond for our events from decorations, bar services, party rentals, Entertaiment, catering, and staffing. Enjoy your event and let us coordinate the rest. Getting majority of your event needs from one vendor creates a more smooth and seamless experience. I am most proud of the relationships we have built with clients over the years. To know we were a part of their most celebrated moments and left an impact is heartwarming. There have been many challenges along the way some minor and some bigger. Despite what may come having a business you are passionate about is the drive to keep pushing. My Matto is everything is fixable; you just have to be willing to sacrifice and keep going. I want the world to know that Events With LML will always stay to true to our core values. Your event success is our mission.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I were asked this a few years ago, I would have a long list, however with the changing times and me getting older I do not go out as much. I would generally recommend mom and pop restaurants usually are the best and as they call it “hole in the wall” spots are more fun than the bigger scenes.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My staff and longtime clients deserve the biggest shout out! Without my team I couldn’t be where I am today and without my loyal clients who have been with me for years keep me going.
