We had the good fortune of connecting with Indigenous Cats and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Indigenous, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Bringing awareness of current & historical events. Providing a different & unique perspective from the usual media propaganda that is promoted. Spreading knowledge on health & exposing fake medicines & foods. Spreading love & unity in a raw stylistic musical way to inspire the youth.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We are a couple/duo & as much as we have built a path of momentum with our music we have also grown as partners in a relationship together. Our journey & story has been a special experience & is felt with our presence. People have grown to love & respect the commitment we have & show towards each other, inspiring relationships around the world to build their dreams with their companions & support each other in the process. We have had many challenges in our path & have had to learn how to communicate & build through them by expressing our views & feelings through music & art , building a comforting & relatable bond with our fans. We would love the world to know that building your dreams with your loved ones is a hard & consistent daily watering but a blessing that can take you beyond the normal work/family experience into a full life circle exploration of infinite possibilities.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We are some big foodies & we are plant based, so usually like to explore & find new places to eat around the local area. We also love nature, recording at the studio & filming creative content in fun & unique places while enjoying the natural energizing feeling of the elements.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We are a duo/couple & each have our own inspirations both as individuals & as a group.

For Calm , he has been greatly inspired by the struggle he has seen his mom go through in life & has expressed it in many ways within his lyrics & music. Also being very involved in Indigenous teachings & ceremony’s has been a huge influence in the perspective & path that Calm has crafted & to this day keeps building & growing with.

For INA , She was deeply inspired by powerful Women. Artist such as Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Selena and Amy Winehouse. she started writing poems, painting, singing and dancing since age 11. Discovering her identity both culturally and spiritually has undeniably been apart of her musical journey. Her grandmother is a main source of love and guidance that has helped her believe in herself.
