Meet Megan Zimmer | Health and Wellness Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Megan Zimmer and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Megan, what is the most important factor behind your success?
My journey into coaching began with my own personal transformation. I didn’t set out to start a business—I was simply searching for a way to feel better in my body. Like many women in midlife, I had tried every diet and fitness trend out there, but nothing seemed to work in a lasting way. I was tired, frustrated, and didn’t feel like myself anymore. That’s when I found the FASTer Way.
As a client, I experienced life-changing results. I lost weight, gained strength, felt more energized, and most importantly, I started to feel like me again. What stood out was that it wasn’t about restriction or hours of cardio. It was about fueling my body the right way, lifting weights, and making changes that actually fit into my real life. It felt sustainable—and that was everything.
Once I saw what was possible, I knew I had to share it. At first, stepping into a coaching role felt intimidating. But I couldn’t ignore how many women were stuck in the same cycle I had been in. So I became a certified FASTer Way coach to help make this approach more accessible.
Today, my role isn’t to reinvent the wheel—it’s to guide women through the process. I help them take the tools, resources, and programming and apply them in a way that works for them. It’s about giving women the support, education, and accountability they need to feel confident and strong without feeling overwhelmed.
The FASTer Way program itself has proven to be incredibly effective—so much so that it recently reached a milestone of 500,000 clients served. That kind of success doesn’t happen by accident. It works because it focuses on the whole person—nutrition, movement, mindset, and recovery—and it’s backed by science and clinical research. It’s not about quick fixes, but about building a vibrant, healthy lifestyle that lasts.
What makes me most proud to be part of this mission is that every coach in the FASTer Way community has been through the journey themselves. We’ve experienced the impact firsthand, and that’s why we’re so passionate about sharing it with others.
For me, this work is personal. I don’t promote anything I haven’t lived. I genuinely care about my clients and want them to succeed—not just on the scale, but in how they feel every day. Whether it’s having more energy, feeling stronger, or finally breaking free from diet culture, their wins are what keep me showing up and doing this work with heart.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My work is all about helping women—especially those in midlife—ditch restrictive diets and finally feel strong, energized, and confident in their bodies again. I’m a certified FASTer Way coach, but what really sets me apart is how I help women apply the program to real life. My clients aren’t looking for quick fixes—they want to age well, build strength, balance hormones, and stop feeling like they’re stuck in a cycle of starting over every Monday.
What I’m most proud of is how personal this all is to me. I didn’t become a coach because I had it all figured out—I became a coach because I was tired of the diet rollercoaster, tired of feeling exhausted and bloated, and just wanted to feel good again. When I found a sustainable way to nourish my body, train smarter, and simplify my health routines, everything changed. And now I get to turn around and help other women do the same.
The path here wasn’t easy. I had doubts about starting a business. I had to learn how to market, lead, and coach in a totally new way. But I stayed focused on the mission—helping other women like me—and that gave me the courage to keep going.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that we don’t need to do it all to see results. Small, consistent changes really do add up. And health is about so much more than what we eat or how we move—it’s also about mindset, rest, and taking ownership of our choices without guilt.
If there’s one thing I’d want the world to know about my brand and story, it’s this: You don’t have to settle for just getting by. You can feel amazing in your body, have energy for the life you want, and still enjoy food without restriction. I’m here to show women that strength, confidence, and freedom are possible—at any age.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Spending the weekend with me would definitely start with a 30-minute FASTer Way strength workout—just enough to feel strong and energized without taking over the day. I’d take my best friend to some of my favorite local spots that mix good food, movement, and a little fun.
We’d stop by Jus Poke for a fresh, lean protein lunch, grab tacos at Tigres Fuego, and treat ourselves to Handel’s Ice Cream—because enjoying food is part of the experience. For some chill recovery time, we’d walk the Esplanade in Redondo and watch the sunset. It’s one of my favorite ways to unwind and connect.
On a more active day, we’d head to Palos Verdes for a scenic hike with ocean views that make every step worth it. We’d also check out local coffee shops, explore the farmers market, and maybe hit a wellness event or a live music night. The South Bay makes healthy living feel easy and enjoyable, and I’d want my best friend to experience that for themselves.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d love to give a big shoutout to my husband and my adult children. They’ve been so supportive—even when it meant dealing with my endless recipe experiments, trying new meals that were definitely “healthier” than what they were used to, and watching me film one too many Instagram reels in the kitchen. What makes it even more special is that they’re now on board too. They’ve embraced better nutrition right alongside me, and it’s been amazing to see our whole family grow healthier together. Their support means everything.
