Meet Shawn Valentino
We had the good fortune of connecting with Shawn Valentino and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shawn, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Ever since I was a kid with big dreams growing up in Michigan, movies were my passion. I dreamed of living the romantic fantasies showcased on the silver screen. My hero was Hugh Hefner and the Playboy lifestyle was my pursuit. James Bond and Tom Cruise were my big screen heroes. So I wanted to combine my love of movies, the Playboy lifestyle and the spy movie escapism to create a saga of James Bond style parody movies.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I produce and star in a series of James Bond style parody movies. We call it The Bachelor movie saga. Just imagine The Bachelor meets Mission: Impossible in the tone of The Naked Gun. I’ve produced this series of movies with close friends such as Rich Twilling, Tremain Hayhoe and the talents of artists like Jeremy Olenski, C-Tru, Kamal Khan, etc. Of course, there has been a team of beautiful young models and actresses in each movie such as the amazing Rachel Ashley Johnson, Toneata Morgan, Brooke Piedra and Breanna Rodriguez. We are currently working on our 7th feature film in 7 years.
I got to where I am with larger than life dreams and the incredible support of close family and friends. I was fortunate to have the Playboy Mansion be like my second home after I moved to LA so I had inspiration surrounding me. Most people say it is impossible to make a movie, and that’s why most producers and producing nothing. My real life is like a MIssion: Impossible so I’ve been able to achieve my dreams.
I want the world to know that you can live a fantasy lifestyle and then live out those fantasies in movies for the world to enjoy. We just want to provide entertainment and escapism. If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was here on an ideal week, I would take them to Disney Land to explore the Happiest Place on Earth. Then I would take them to the best view of the Hollywood Sign so they can feel inspired to live the dream. Then I would try to get an entrance to the Playboy Mansion to show them my second home and the place where I was fortunate to party in style. And hopefully they would be here on a week of our movie premiere so they can see on of our movies on the big screen in glamorous fashion. We are the only ones throwing events in classic Hollywood style so it will be the ultimate week of magic and mystery and fun and fantasy.
