We had the good fortune of connecting with Koray Ozsoy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Koray, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
Ofcourse many, one of my favorite is,
‘Curiosity is the essence of our existence.’
I even have it tattooed on my right bicep. it sparks deeply to who I am. Curiosty one of the most important feeling what drives me, what keeps me hungry.
I believe and know curiosity is what brought humanity to where we are today. it’s the force that pushes us to think, to question, and ultimately to learn. and learning never ends.
its a great loop; curiosty sparks questions, questions lead to learning, learning leads to mastery. And then it begins again.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
One of the main reasons l become an artist is the freedom for as long as i can remember . if you look at my work, you will see how much I tavel and how deeply i’m inspired by different cultures. I am not afraid to try new things and bring those influences into my art and i think that’s what makes it unique.
I am very excited for what’s ahead. One of my biggest dream is to unite my music and my visual art into one complete expression. i wanna to create concept to touch as many sense possible. Of course, getting here wasnt easy. if it was, everyone would do it. i believe being in the right place in the right time but this itself not enough. you have to have right preparation. Very important. this what make you understand that you are in right place in right time.
i have work hard from a young age, that taught me how to survive in any situation.
i have always thrown myself into new challenges. i love creating bridges between different forms of art. i usually set a rough plan, but when it comes to the details, i trust the flow. Thats how you keep it fun and allows you to create new opportunities along the way.
i have never give up on the things i believe. i never stop believing myself and my dreams.
its been one hell of a journey and we are only just getting started.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My new favorite spot is this amazing hike that starts at the end of the valley, right behind Calabasas. This time of the year, all the flowers are blooming. It looks like a postcard.
Me and my friends love to cook. We actually cook almost every day. but when we are coming from a trip, we always stop at In-and-Out. its the only fast food i eat. They are good.
i spent a lot of time around music studios and tennis courts. Specially the ones near Griffith Observatory. i also like the hikes around that areas too.
i love riding my motobike with my friends. i just got my dream Ducati. Sunset rides with friends or alone I just love it. Makes me feel alive.
Also, I love discovering hidden street food spots just as much as I enjoy dining at restaurants. There is something special about both.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My journey has been deeply shaped by a few incredible people. one of them is my university teacher, Burak Pekun. when i moved from a small town to Istanbul at the age of 19, he was not just a teacher, he become a big brother and a mentor in life. He planted seeds in my soul that later became powerful tools. He helped shape my character and guided me toward the right path in life.
Oscar Akermo is another one. He showed me what it means to pursue artistic excellence. He helped me understand the path of perfection as an artist and supported me in a huge way when I was just begining to my journey in New York City.
Mahmut Orhan is someone that means so much to me, a friend i respect deeply. we have shared unforgettable memories all around the world and have always supported to one another. He helps me to keep it up with my dreams on music.

Bang Bang Tattoos, who gave me the platform to share my work with the world. For that I will always be grateful.

I am also very into the Malcolm Gladwell books, i discover his world with Outliers and end it up reading all of his books. Amazing writer and books.
