Meet Giyoh Shey

We had the good fortune of connecting with Giyoh Shey and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Giyoh, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve aways been Entrepreneural minded since I was a kid so i feel like it’s always been in me to want to work for myself and start something I can call my own and something I can create and pass down to my kids in the future.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As an actor and content creator now, I really do enjoy making content and creating. Never really understood how much I enjoyed this side of me until after Covid. I think what sets me apart from others is my enthusiasm and authenticity I can bring to anything I’m talking about or creating and I really thing people can resonate with that, and they appreciate it. I call myself a chameleon because I have a really good way of adapting to any situation or my surroundings and I think that’s what has made me successful on social media and now stepping into the acting world.
Nothing about starting something new is easy. there are challenges on starting and being consistent on the journey but then one thing I always remind myself to help me through any challenging times is to continue to be my authentic self and preparation will always squash any anxieties I have about success.
I always want to give off the energy of if I can do it so can you. I love being and inspiration to people whether through me telling them or showing them with my actions.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friend was coming first place, I’m taking them is to get some Peruvian food. I know some good spots. Peruvian food is sooooo good. so there first. After that I would take them on a road trip up the coast of so cal. I took that trip 2 years ago up to big sur and I love it. I could do it 1000 times and not get tired of it. Stop and see some sigh seeing along the way. when we get back, I would have a couple chills days and go see some of the museums in the area and then after then head down to San Diego. one of my favorited cities to visit. It’s a much different vibe than LA. I love a little spontaneity so even winging some places I’ve never been is also fun too.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
well of course my parents. Without my parents instilling in me a hard work ethic and great core values i don’t think I would be here where I am at today. They were hard on me and very strict, but it was all to show me that through discipline you can achieve anything. Another person that was large part in my life and my mindset was Kobe Bryant and Jim Rohn. Watching Kobe gave me a sense of confidence. When they say Mamba Mentality it’s a real thing. And Jim Rohn is amazing. I learned so much from listening to him when i came to mindset in business and life as well. Listening to him really changed my life to understand more how to navigate and understand this world.
