We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Rogers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lauren, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started my business when my first son was almost a year old. I absolutely loved being a mom and staying home with him, but I also felt a strong desire to use my brain in new ways and contribute financially to my family. For about six months, I had been creating and selling custom baby onesies, which sparked something in me—I realized I had a drive to build something of my own.

But over time, the creative part started to feel tedious, and I craved a new challenge. I’ve always loved people and had a genuine interest in homes and real estate, so I started to imagine what it could look like to turn that interest into a career. Becoming a realtor offered the perfect balance—I could stay home with my son, set my own schedule, and build a business around something I was passionate about. That’s what inspired me to take the leap into real estate.

What should our readers know about your business?
Lauren Loves Homes was born from a passion for helping families make big transitions feel less overwhelming. What sets me apart is that I lead with education and heart. I specialize in helping families buy and sell at the same time—a process that can feel super stressful—but I break it down in a way that feels manageable and empowering. I’m not here to pressure people into transactions. I’m here to help them feel confident and cared for every step of the way.

Most of my clients come from my community—local moms, friends, Instagram followers, and small business connections. I’ve built this business on relationships, not cold calls. I’m proud of the trust I’ve earned and the referrals that keep coming in. That’s the biggest compliment to me.

It hasn’t always been easy. I started this business without experience, a big budget, or any sort of blueprint. I’ve worked through market shifts, burnout, mom guilt, and everything in between. High interest rates, low inventory, self-doubt—you name it. And honestly, one of the hardest parts has been putting myself out there, especially with the fear of rejection always lingering in the back of my mind. But I’ve learned that consistency, authenticity, and community are everything. When I stay aligned with my values and serve from a place of care, the results follow.

What I want the world to know is that Lauren Loves Homes isn’t just a business—it’s a mission. I’m here to serve families with care, give back through free community events, and grow a brand rooted in heart, education, and connection. I also co-founded Shine to support and uplift women in business while creating space for community and collaboration. My long-term vision includes building a team, expanding my referral network nationwide, and creating opportunities through real estate—all while staying true to who I am: a mom, a connector, and someone who genuinely loves helping people find home.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’d start the day with brunch at Haven Haus Cafe to enjoy all the cute drinks and perfect photo ops. Then, we’d head over to Victoria Gardens for some shopping. After that, we’d treat ourselves to a mani-pedi at Red Persimmon. And if time allowed, we’d kick off the morning with chatting while hiking Etiwanda Falls.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people who deserve a huge shoutout in my story—it truly takes a village. First and foremost, my husband. He’s always believed in me and supported this wild journey of mine, from the events I host to the tables he helps carry and the open house signs he puts up. His support behind the scenes makes all the difference.

To my kids—thank you for your patience when I need to take calls or squeeze in work time. You are my biggest motivation and the heart behind everything I do.

To my father-in-law—thank you for being one of my loudest cheerleaders, always encouraging me and proudly sharing my name with anyone who will listen. Your support means the world.

To Liz—thank you for always listening to my wild ideas and helping me bring them to life. You’re my sounding board, my partner in creativity, and the one I can always count on to help me execute. You also helped me start Shine, and I’m so proud of what we’ve built together.

And to my amazing friends, family, and clients—thank you for trusting me, believing in me, and continuing to refer me. You’ve helped me build something I’m truly proud of.
