We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Munson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephanie, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Risk is at the heart of my story. Moxie Creative Solutions wasn’t born from a business plan. It was a messy combination of gut instinct, lucky breaks, and a whole lot of fast learning. I didn’t know what was next, but I knew I couldn’t stay put.

Every time I’ve chosen to do something that scared me professionally, it’s paid off in growth that safety could never provide. Whether it was launching a new service, public speaking, or saying yes to an opportunity that intimidated me, those were the moments that mattered. To me, taking a risk isn’t some reckless thing; it’s about trusting my gut and believing in what I can learn and become.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I started Moxie because I watched too many small business owners get stuck in the marketing maze with DIY websites, trend-chasing, and branding that didn’t even feel like them. I knew marketing could be simpler, clearer, and way more relatable.

At Moxie, we’re not just here to toss a logo on your site and call it branding. We dig in. We help you tell your story, show up with confidence, and connect with the people you’re trying to reach. Our work is personal, intentional, and built on a strategy that works.

What makes us different? We listen. We simplify. We genuinely care. And we’re allergic to fluff. Everything we do is about helping your brand shine and making your life easier. Getting here wasn’t smooth. There were times when I battled burnout, questioned myself, and struggled with growth. But looking back, the most important thing is that I kept showing up. And I leaned on a community of bold, brilliant business owners who reminded me why I started this in the first place.

Here’s what I’ve learned: clarity is everything, real beats perfect, and small business owners are some of the toughest, most creative people out there.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Maison Garrison in Claremont is a fantastic boutique to visit because they carefully select stylish, high-quality women’s clothes. You’ll find chic and modern pieces there that can help you express your personal style and upgrade your wardrobe. And the best part? The people who work there are just amazing. You get that feeling they care about helping you find something you’ll love. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel good, and it’s a local favorite for a reason.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Let’s be honest: my success comes from a powerful combination of caffeine, hard work, and a knack for figuring things out as I go.

But seriously, shoutout to the women business owners out there who are just as gloriously overwhelmed as I am. We might be juggling too much, but we’re in it together. And we’re making it happen.
