Meet Nick De La Roca | Graphic & Media Designer/Tattoo Artist & Body Piercer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nick De La Roca and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nick, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to have control over my life and expensive, have the freedom to create my own brand. which I did two years ago.I started NDLR llc. I wanted to design things like clothing, merchandise and give service to new entrepreneurs starting their business by designing there logo at a low cost. We all make mistakes and we correct them. That is why NDLR is an acronym for New Design Live Redesign where you can create and revamp your graphics. Also its acronym for my name Nick De La Roca. Once my business start to progress and i become successful i have ideas for 3 more companies i would like to open. But one at a time. For now,

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My designs are original they come from the heart and I get inspired by nature,I also have passion for my work. The details of my work is eccentric that is what sets me apart from others. “I am just weird, lol in a good way!” A couple of years back i design my first line of graphic shirts under NDLR and Heart of Art. They came out better than I expect them. I am planing to bring two design back soon. My NDLR company is still in its beginning stages its been tough but with the help and encouragement from allies, friends and customers/clients there words keep me going. My newest piece I am in love with. The peacock man that is what i am calling it. Will make shirts soon. My journey hasn’t been easy I suffer from mental health and i found myself starting over many times. So if i can do it anyone can. you just gotta take it day by day. And have faith in yourself. and always keep a backup of your work at a safe place where you can get it back from. I want the world to know that my brand is a LGBTQ-A business. As its founder I am a Gay Proud Latino I like where my brand and the direction its going. Looking for sponsors/business partners to help me grow, and local and national stores where my clothing brand can be sold.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would say Downtown Long Beach,CA. Its the most artistic and haunted place in Los Angeles in my opinion. From its murals to its architecture historic places, and its residence they are all unique.Home to the largest queer community. I could be wrong but we have LB pride there every year the largest pride in California that happens in May. You have the Pike with all the restaurants. Pine Avenue with all its restaurants, and bars. The Aquarium is by shoreline. You always see a different crowd of people.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
