We had the good fortune of connecting with Leanne Kenny and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Leanne, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is alignment between who I am, what I believe in, and how I show up in the world. I don’t just build businesses. I build movements rooted in impact, intention, and identity. My brand works because it’s not performative. It’s real. It’s lived. Whether I’m teaching inside Curve Marketing / Academy or handing out blessing bags through Gifted Angels, I lead with purpose and service first.

I also credit my consistency. I don’t wait for motivation or validation. I stay in motion even when things are hard, even when no one’s watching. That kind of discipline is rare, but it’s the secret weapon that turns vision into reality.

But above all, I believe the true key to success is how deeply you care. Care about your clients. Care about your mission. Care about your vision and whose lives you’re quietly changing. That’s the foundation I’ve built everything on and that’s why it works.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m the founder of Curve Marketing and Curve Academy, but more than that, I’m someone who’s walked the messy road of building something from scratch. I work with entrepreneurs who are ready to stop winging it and finally build a business that feels aligned, structured, and rooted in purpose. I don’t just teach marketing. I teach mindset, money, ownership, and what it really takes to create long-term freedom. Because it’s never just about the content it’s about who you become while building it. My students come to me overwhelmed, stretched thin, or stuck in survival mode. They leave with clarity, systems that support their vision, and the confidence to actually lead their brand. We talk numbers, automation, branding, financial literacy, and yes, we talk about exit plans too. Because too many people build something without ever knowing how they’ll step away from it and I believe legacy means building with the end in mind.
Helping over a thousand students across North America triple their income in under a year has been an honor, but what I really care about is the freedom they gain. The peace. The ability to create from a place of stability instead of stress. That’s what lights me up.

This journey hasn’t been easy. I had no investors, no blueprint, and no safety net. I’ve had seasons where I questioned everything. I’ve learned painful lessons about money, burnout, boundaries, and self-worth. But I stayed the course. Not because I had it all figured out but because I believed in what I was building. If there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s that success comes from showing up. Not from perfection or hype, but from doing the work over and over again, even when no one’s clapping. At the center of everything I do is service. That’s why I started Gifted Angels, a nonprofit that distributes blessing bags across Los Angeles, Vancouver, Edmonton, and Toronto. Giving back keeps me grounded. It reminds me why I started. It reminds me that business is never just about us. It’s about what we’re able to do for others once we’re in a position to give.

I believe you can build a business that changes your life and the lives of others. You don’t have to choose between purpose and profit. You can have both. That’s what I’ve built with Curve, and it’s what I’ll keep showing others how to create too.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was flying in, we wouldn’t waste a single moment. I’m big on curating experiences that are beautiful, meaningful, and full of soul. This wouldn’t just be a vacation. It would be a full reset.

Day 1 – Welcome to LA
I’d pick them up from LAX with their favorite snacks ready and a curated playlist to set the mood. First stop would be brunch at Arden Restaurant in Santa Monica. It’s stylish, elevated, and the food never disappoints. After checking in at a cozy Airbnb or boutique hotel nearby, we’d head to Santa Monica Pier to catch the sunset, dip our feet in the ocean, and walk through 3rd Street Promenade for some light shopping. And because comfort food is a must, we’d grab a box of mochi-style donuts from Holy Grail—my favorite donut spot in the city.

Day 2 – Art, Culture, and Intention
We’d start the morning at République Café & Bakery, a stunning space with Parisian vibes and unreal pastries. After that, we’d explore LA’s art scene. I’d reserve us time at The Getty, which has breathtaking views and is completely free. Then we’d make our way to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) for more creative energy. For dinner, we’d head to Toca Madera in West Hollywood. It’s sleek, lively, and perfect for an upscale night out.

Day 3 – Café Hopping and Shopping
We’d kick off with matcha lattes and people watching at Urth Caffé, then spend the rest of the day shopping. First, we’d explore Century City Mall for a mix of luxury and everyday finds, then head to Rodeo Drive for that iconic Beverly Hills experience. After that, Melrose Avenue would give us a more laid-back, fashion-forward vibe. We’d end the day with dinner at Planta in Marina del Rey. It’s plant-based and effortlessly chic.

Day 4 – Coastal Escape to Newport Beach
Midweek is the perfect time for a change of pace, so we’d take a day trip down to Newport Beach. The drive itself is beautiful and sets the tone for a more relaxed, coastal vibe. We’d start with a peaceful walk along Balboa Pier, soaking in the ocean air and watching the surfers. Then we’d grab brunch at Malibu Farm Lido, a dreamy spot with fresh, farm-to-table meals and views of the marina.

Afterward, we’d explore Lido Marina Village, do a little boutique shopping, and maybe hop on a Duffy boat cruise around the harbor with snacks, music, and laughter. It’s the perfect mix of luxury and calm. We’d wrap up the day with an early dinner at Bear Flag Fish Co. for the freshest seafood, then head back to LA in time to wind down with tea, good conversation, and maybe a movie night at home.

Day 5 – Purpose and Presence
We’d begin the day with intention. I’d bring my friend to join me in a Gifted Angels drop-off, distributing blessing bags to those in need in the city. It’s grounding and one of the most meaningful parts of my life. Afterward, we’d treat ourselves to something sweet from Sweet Angeles, a hidden gem of a bakery, and keep the rest of the day light with some downtime or a peaceful walk by the water.

Day 6 – Relax and Recharge
This would be our wellness day. A massage, a facial, maybe a Brazilian lymphatic drainage session to reset and refresh. We’d journal, sip green juice, and talk about our visions for the future. That night, we’d head to Bottega Louie in West Hollywood. Between the ambiance, food, and energy, it’s the perfect close to a calm and beautiful day.

Day 7 – Soulful Send-Off
We’d spend our final day revisiting our favorite café or heading back to Santa Monica Beach for one last walk. I’d grab us another box of Holy Grail Donuts because yes, they are that good. We’d sit on the beach, reflect on the memories, and take a final deep breath before heading to the airport, feeling full, grateful, and recharged.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There’s no way I could take credit for where I am without honoring the people and forces that poured into me along the way.

First and foremost, my grandfather. His quiet strength, selflessness, and unwavering belief in doing good left an imprint on me that shaped the way I live and lead. He was my first example of what it means to give without expecting anything in return, and his legacy lives in everything I do especially through Gifted Angels.

I also want to shout out the women who have walked beside me in business and life. The ones who’ve encouraged me when I was tired, celebrated me when I won, and reminded me of my purpose when I felt like giving up. Having a circle that reflects your light back to you is priceless.

To every student who has trusted me through Curve Marketing / Academy, and to every person we’ve helped through our nonprofit work, thank you. You are the reason I keep going.

And finally, I’d be remiss not to mention the books and mentors who challenged my thinking and helped me build emotional and financial intelligence. People like Robert Kiyosaki, Henry Cloud, John Townsend, Allan Dib etc. Their teachings shaped my mindset before I ever saw success in real time.

None of this is done alone. Every step forward was built on the shoulders of community, love, and faith. So this shoutout is for them.
