Meet Le’Shawn Taylor | Model & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Le’Shawn Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Le’Shawn, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
LouT is something that was always meant to happen, I just didn’t know when or how. Growing up i’ve always been into self care and self help – just overall the betterment of ones self in general no matter how you get it, just as long as it’s in a healthy way and “self” does not mean it has to be done completely by yourself in anyway. Self to me is making the decision that you deserve better and want better because it all starts with ones self. I felt it was time to create an extension of my other health centered brands that’ll mainly focus on mental and emotionally wellbeing. I created it because I wanted to create a space of calmness, stillness and serenity. I’ve always been an advocate for helping individuals in need and giving them a space to feel seen and heard so I figured why not create something that can reach a larger network of people in need of nothing but a swivel of peace and a space for them to be themselves without judgement and receive little notes everyday to keep trying, pushing, crying, smiling , winning, or losing just as long as they keep going. It also holds me accountable as well as the creator and founder of LouT, to stay on my journey.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
People would be surprised to know this but i’m actually A homebody, I don’t mind going to public, crowded events from time to time to let loose and have fun but it’s not my speed to do all the time (even though i’m down for any and everything). If I had to make an itinerary, it would definitely include visiting surrounding beaches at sunset or night. Living in Florida and being born here is special and the beaches is one of the things that I definitely take for granted and would want anyone to experience when it’s not a lot of people. Alongside that I would for sure have to include a nice and healthy food place like Soho Juice & Co, Grain & Berry, or anything healthy. Bundt cake for dessert, it’s all about balance. Local coffee shops are on the list as well, you have to experience others creativity and how they perfected their craft whether it’s different syrups, latte art, or pastries, it’s truly amazing to see what’s out there. I obviously have to add self care in there whether it’s massages, facials, a little filler here and there never hurt either. Sports is also definitely apart of my blood in someway shape or form so a game is a must no matter what sport it is. Lastly, anything someone else would consider weird and out of the blue, for example candle making, art class, hot pilates, pole dancing, jumping out of a plane, photography, etc. Just as long as it’s fun for both of us which we can make everything fun and stimulates the mind and create new and exciting memories.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There’s so many individuals who I can think of that have shaped me into the person I am today and has played a part in my branding, the way I present myself to the world, my personality and (without taking too much credit away from myself) how i think. As i’ve aged my eyes have been opened to a broader view of life which is normal for almost any growing young adult whether you were the type to grow up faster than some of not, we all still have different and unique life experiences and there is no right or wrong way necessarily to living just compassion and understanding for the next human. With that being said, Mel Robbins is someone i’ve recently discovered over the last few years and from what i’ve seen, the level of understanding she has of the world and the confidence she exudes is everything and more to me. Kim Kardashian will always be at the top of my list as well, the beauty and brains that woman exudes is impeccable and she shows me that I can do whatever i want in this life time and to put my best foot forward in anything I do. Alongside Kim is her sister Kylie Jenner. One thing i will always appreciate from looking up to Kylie is the amount of effort she puts into preserving her privacy, peace, and happiness. With the world watching and critiquing your every move and to have that level of control over your actions with that much power at your hands is commendable. Lastly, my mother/family in general. I am truly blessed to be born in a family that not only will be there for one another but protect the ones close to them who aren’t blood and stand up for people who they don’t even know. I feel like even though I can think for myself and have my own set of morals, they’re definitely the ones that made it manifest within me, alongside close friend(s), people i’ve met through different life experiences like jobs, acting, modeling, and just in passing from videos on social media. My shoutout goes out to everyone who makes a positive impact in my life no matter how big, small, or frequent because I learn something new every time and that is the embodiment of my new brand LouT and what it’s all about.
