We had the good fortune of connecting with Kiki Finley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi kiki, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
The ability to stay grounded in the moment and respond to challenges with clarity rather than reactivity. I’ve learned that success isn’t just about achievement, it’s about alignment with purpose, peace, and intention. Another key habit is non-attachment to outcomes. I’ve learned as I evolve that clinging leads to suffering, and I’ve found that when I surrender the need to control every single detail, things flow more naturally. I stay committed to the process, but unattached to how it unfolds. It is what It is. Lastly, I practice compassionate discipline. I show up consistently, but with kindness toward myself and compassion for what I feel. This is the backdrop of how I show up for others and spaces I move through. I’ve learned that soft focus can be just as powerful as hard hustle. That’s what keeps me resilient, creative, and deeply connected to the work I do.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m the founder of Point Blank Management, a boutique music publishing and composer agency based in Los Angeles. We represent award-winning female composers and immersive sound designers, with a mission to amplify their underrepresented voices in film, television, games, and immersive media. What sets us apart is not just our talent, but our cultural perspective and authenticity. We don’t just place music, we break aspiring composers and help shape the emotional landscape of stories that reflect the world we live in.

From this work, I also founded the LA Soundscape Orchestra, a 50-piece recording ensemble created to elevate underrepresented composers in large-scale scoring environments. We specialize in cinematic recordings for film, episodic television, video games, and AI-driven storytelling. What I’m most proud of is how we’re disrupting traditional norms in the orchestral world by giving visibility, access, and power to talent that’s often overlooked.

And then there’s The Pretty Passport, my newest passion project. It’s a lifestyle platform rooted in beauty, travel, and spiritual wellness. It’s designed especially for women who want to feel empowered, inspired, and seen. As a former beauty artist and creative entrepreneur, The Pretty Passport blends my love of style, storytelling, and sacred self-care. It’s fun, vibrant, and intentional and it’s already building a loyal audience of women around the world.

The journey to this point has definitely not been easy. There were years of hearing “no,” of being underestimated, of being the only one who looked like me in the room. But I leaned into my spiritual practice, trusted my intuition, and stayed true to the communities I serve. I built these platforms brick by brick, often funding projects myself, and advocating for voices I knew the world needed to hear.

Lessons? Stay rooted in your purpose, even when it’s quiet. I don’t wait to be chosen because I chose myself. And never underestimate the power of showing up fully as yourself, wherever I am. What I want the world to know is that my work, whether in music, media, or lifestyle, is about radical representation and creative freedom. I’m not here to follow trends; I’m here to open doors, break ceilings, and leave the blueprint better than I found it.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
If I could dedicate my shoutout to anyone, it would be my Granny. She was very best friend and the only person in the world who truly understood me. She didn’t just hear me, she listened to all of my voices: the creative one, the curious one, the spiritual one, the one that dreamed big even when it didn’t make sense to anyone else.

She saw every version of me and never asked me to shrink. Instead, she cultivated every talent, every spark, every calling I had, whether it was music, writing, performing, or just imagining bigger for myself. She gave me the emotional space to be my whole self, long before I knew what that even meant.

Everything I create, every risk I take, and every door I open for someone else is rooted in the love, trust, and belief she gave me. So this is for her, always and forever.
