We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Luengen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Laura, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
It actually started while I was still studying design and art. I used to dig through SoundCloud for hours, just for the fun of discovering fresh, unknown talent. I loved finding those hidden gems and writing little stories for each track — so listeners could not only hear the music, but also get a glimpse into who the artist was. At first, it was just a playlist I made for my friends for the weekend. But that playlist grew into one of the biggest deep house YouTube channels at the time, with almost 3 million subscribers. I was curating vibes and building a global community around sound and storytelling. Eventually, I realized I didn’t just want to lift up other artists — I had my own vision to bring to life. So I flipped it and put all that creative energy into my own project. That’s how LOVRA was born.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is all about energy. It’s about movement, emotion, freedom – both on the dancefloor and inside yourself. As a DJ and producer, I’m not just playing tracks, I’m telling stories through sound. And above all, it’s about connection. That moment when the crowd and I are completely synced – when everyone feels the same thing at the same time a that’s why I do what I do. That’s what gives me the energy to keep creating, keep pushing, keep evolving.

For me, music is the only language everyone speaks – no matter where you’re from, what you do, how you look, or who you love. Music doesn’t judge. It unites. And that’s the core of everything I create.

Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy. I’ve had to fight for my space. There were moments of doubt, exhaustion, rejection – but I never let go of my vision. What carried me through was staying true to myself, trusting my instinct, and not waiting for anyone’s permission to move forward.

One thing I’ve learned: consistency beats perfection. And energy doesn’t lie – if your heart’s in it, people will feel it. I want the world to know that LOVRA isn’t just a sound – it’s a statement. It’s about presence, truth, and connection. It’s about creating something real – together. <3

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Absolutely – I wouldn’t be where I am today without a few key people and partnerships that truly believed in me early on. Huge shoutout to Stefan Dabruck and SDM in Frankfurt, who saw something in me from the start and gave me the space to grow and push boundaries. Stefan’s belief in me gave me the confidence to trust my own voice when I was still finding it. His support wasn’t just professional; it was deeply personal. He and the whole team stood by me through every doubt and every breakthrough, pushing me to be fearless and true to myself. Without him and the whole team, I wouldn’t be here today. Stefan’s mentorship and support were game changers – he’s been more than a manager, he’s been a true partner in every step of this journey.
