We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Lobo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lauren, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
LoboLashes is more than just a lash brand—it’s a beauty solution for the often overlooked and underrepresented. In the lash world, we talk a lot about glam and trends, but we don’t talk enough about the women who’ve felt left out of that conversation. I created my magnetic lash system specifically for those who are allergic to glue, liner, or traditional lash methods—or those who just never had the time, technique, or confidence to master it all.

There’s this quiet group of women who either gave up on lashes or never dared to try them but secretly wished they could. I made these lashes for them. Our lashes remove the frustration and guesswork and instead offer simplicity, softness, and freedom. We’re creating a bridge for women to rediscover or redefine their relationship with beauty.

And while lashes might seem like a small thing to some, I believe beauty is energy—and when a woman feels good about how she shows up in the world, that energy multiplies. She becomes more confident, more self-assured, and more radiant. That ripple effect reaches her community, her family, her career, and her causes. So yes, lashes may be a small tool, but in the right hands, they unlock a very big impact.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
LoboLashes was born out of a desire to make beauty more accessible, especially for the women who’ve felt excluded or overlooked in the beauty space. My magnetic lashes are a soft, beginner-friendly alternative for those who are allergic to lash glue, adhesives, or even the eyeliner-based magnetic options out there. But beyond the innovation, what truly sets my business apart is the heart behind it.

This brand is for the girl who gave up on lashes out of frustration… the woman who loved the idea of lashes but couldn’t tolerate the process… the lash lover who just didn’t feel seen. I’ve created a space for them. And I’m proud—so proud—to say we’ve turned those frustrations into freedom.

What excites me most about LoboLashes is how deeply I’ve been able to narrow my niche. I think that’s a glimpse into my bigger purpose on this earth: to help people feel seen, beautiful, and confident. There’s nothing more fulfilling than getting messages from women saying, “I thought I was done with lashes until I found yours.” That’s what drives me. I’ve created a safe space for women who thought they had to settle—now they have an option that feels like home.

I’m on a mission to keep growing and scaling so that every woman who needs these lashes can find them. I don’t want this to be just a brand—I want LoboLashes to be a community. A movement. A lifestyle rooted in confidence, ease, and self-empowerment. We call it the Wolf Pack, because when one of us wins, we all rise.

Now, I’ll be honest—this journey has not been easy. Not even close. I got here with prayer, grit, and a lot of late-night cries. And even now, I’m in a rough patch. But because I walk with God, it doesn’t feel as heavy. Every time I’ve thought about quitting, the thought physically hurts. That’s how I know I’m walking in purpose. Giving up isn’t even an option. I fight through the doubt by staying solution-oriented, finding new answers every day, and remembering the women whose lives have been changed because I didn’t give up.

Some of the biggest lessons I’ve learned? You have to roll with the punches. There’s no such thing as an easy dream. Giving up is hard. Pushing through is hard. Being broke is hard. Building wealth is hard. Pick your hard—and then keep going. It’s not about being fearless—it’s about being faithful. Even when things don’t make sense yet.

If there’s one thing I want the world to know about me and my brand, it’s that lashes don’t have to be intimidating. Historically, lashes have had this stigma—like they’re high maintenance or reserved for certain types of beauty. But the truth is, women have always gone to great lengths to feel beautiful, and lashes have always been part of that journey. Now, we’re changing the game with innovation that makes lashes simple, safe, and approachable.

LoboLashes isn’t just about how you look—it’s about how you feel. I’m here to help women feel comfortable in their own skin, in their own way, at their own pace. That’s the legacy I’m building.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my bestie’s in town for a week, just know we’re eating good, dancing somewhere soulful, and soaking up all the vibes LA has to offer. I’m definitely an urban-eats type of girl—I live for a good burger, pizza, or pasta moment. So first stop? Marathon Burger, because it’s just one of those spots that never misses. Then we’d hit up Bossa Nova for some late-night Brazilian pasta or grilled plates that are always top-tier.

I’m also a huge fan of food trucks—honestly, nothing beats a meal made with love and flavor from someone’s mobile kitchen. I’d take them to events like Black on the Block or Black Market Flea, where you can shop local vendors, catch live music, and eat from some of the best Black-owned food trucks in the city. It’s more than a meal—it’s culture, community, and creativity in one space.

For the weekends I decide to pop out, I usually follow my DJ friends around Hollywood. One of our favorite places to land is Leisure Lounge. It’s the perfect balance—part bar, part dance floor, and all good energy. They play everything from throwback R&B to the new heat, and it always feels like a party without the pressure. Just vibes, movement, and freedom.

And listen, I’m not mad at a cute museum run either. LA has some gems—whether it’s The Broad, the Grammy Museum, or even just a quiet gallery in DTLA, I love places that inspire creativity and reflection in between the turn-up moments.

So yeah, if you come out to LA with me, you’re getting a week full of good eats, good music, good people, and moments that fill your soul and your stomach.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, I have to shout out God. This entire journey—this business, this brand, this calling—was sparked by an idea that didn’t even come from a “lash girl.” My mom actually encouraged me to start this business, and I truly believe the idea was divinely placed. She’s not someone who wore lashes at the time, so the fact that she even suggested it was wild. But we trusted it, and here we are.

So next, major love to my mom—her entrepreneurial spirit, her hustle, and her faith are the foundation that gave me the courage to chase this dream. She planted the seed, and her tenacity taught me how to water it.

And I absolutely have to shout out the Vermont Slauson Economic Development Center, specifically the Women’s Business Center. The way they pour into small business owners—especially women—with real education, real mentorship, and real tools to scale… it’s unmatched. They don’t just give you theory—they give you what you need, when you need it, with heart and intention. Their programs unlocked parts of my mindset I didn’t even know were stuck. They are such a blessing to our community.
