We had the good fortune of connecting with Nancy Carranza and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nancy, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My motivation for starting my business stemmed from two main reasons. First and foremost, I wanted to build something meaningful that I could one day leave to my daughter, a legacy she could be proud of. Secondly, I had always dreamed of owning something that was truly mine. I was ready to stop working for others and start investing my time, energy, and passion into my own vision and goals.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My work is deeply personal and rooted in purpose. At the heart of it is Mila Plus Cleaning Services a brand built with love, intention, and the drive to create something meaningful not just for myself, but for my daughter, my team, and the amazing clients we serve. Mila isn’t just a business it’s a reflection of my journey, my values, and the belief that even the smallest details can make the biggest difference.

What sets Mila Cleaning Services apart is our attention to detail and the genuine relationships we build along the way. My goal has never been just to walk into a home and clean it, my intention is to transform each space into one that feels welcoming, peaceful, and full of life. A home should be a place where memories are made, laughter is shared, and comfort is felt, and what better way to support that than through a clean, organized space touched with care and beautiful details.

Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy. There were many obstacles from learning the ropes of running a business, to balancing motherhood and work, to facing moments of self-doubt. But each challenge taught me resilience, and every lesson helped shape Mila into what it is today. I leaned on my faith, my daughter’s encouragement, and the unwavering support of those who believed in me from the start.

One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned along the way is that the little things matter. Whether it’s the extra time spent perfecting a room or the simple act of listening to a client’s needs those moments build trust, create impact, and set the tone for lasting connections.

I want the world to know that Mila Plus Cleaning Services is more than just a cleaning company. It’s a story of growth, intention, and heart. It’s about creating spaces that not only look good but feel good. Every home we touch carries our pride, care, and commitment. And I’m proud to say we’re building something beautiful-one clean, intentional space at a time.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting, I’d make sure they experienced the best of the area from incredible food to unforgettable views.

We’d start in LA’s Arts District, exploring galleries, coffee shops, and street art. Then head up to Griffith Observatory for stunning views of the city and sunset over the Hollywood sign—it’s a must.

One day we’d take a drive down to Valle de Guadalupe, just 40 minutes from Tijuana. Totally worth the trip. We’d wine taste, enjoy the scenery, and have an unforgettable meal at Meteora you have to try their Brussels sprouts.

Back in LA, we’d book a table at Girl & the Goat. The bold, creative dishes and lively atmosphere make it one of the best dining experiences in the city.

A week of art, views, food, and a quick escape to wine country? That’s the perfect trip.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a heartfelt shoutout to my teammates who began this journey with me. Your dedication, passion, and hard work have been the backbone of everything Mila has become. Through the challenges, late nights, and big wins, you’ve stood by me, and for that, I will forever be grateful. You’ve shown me the true meaning of commitment and teamwork, it really does take a village, and I couldn’t have asked for a better one.

And to my daughter, my biggest inspiration and my proudest partner in this journey. Thank you not only for your love and support, but for working alongside me with so much heart and strength. You’ve been part of this every step of the way, pushing through the hard days, celebrating the good ones, and showing up with determination far beyond your years.
