Meet Shannon Kehrer | Founder & CEO of Hidey Style Socks

We had the good fortune of connecting with Shannon Kehrer and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shannon, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind Hidey Style’s success is my unwavering commitment to solving a universal pain point for women with a truly innovative and high-quality product.
Before Hidey Style, I personally experienced the frustration of “no-show” socks that constantly slipped. This wasn’t just an annoyance; it was a daily interruption to comfort and confidence. My success stems from truly understanding this unmet need in the market – a frustration shared by countless women – and dedicating myself to creating a definitive solution.
I poured that understanding into designing Hidey Socks: developing the unique stay-put anklet, sourcing breathable bamboo, and integrating a blister-preventing gel heel. This wasn’t about creating just another sock; it was about crafting a meticulously engineered solution that genuinely enhances women’s daily comfort and confidence. This deep empathy for our customer, combined with a relentless focus on product innovation and quality, has fostered incredible customer loyalty and driven our growth.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My work at Hidey Style is driven by a simple mission: to genuinely enhance women’s daily lives through innovative comfort. What sets us apart is Hidey Socks aren’t just socks; they’re a meticulously engineered solution to the universal problem of slipping “no-show” socks. My design features a unique, stay-put anklet, breathable bamboo, and a gel heel, delivering unwavering confidence and comfort. The optional Austrian crystals add a touch of personal style.
I’m most proud of our tangible impact, hearing from women whose days are changed by our comfort and confidence. As a woman-owned business, seeing Hidey Style empower other women excites me immensely.
Getting here was challenging. Bootstrapping meant battling cash flow, managing complex supply chains, and gaining visibility. I overcame this through persistence, resourcefulness, and crucial mentorship. The unwavering support from WBENC, particularly the invaluable guidance of the late Pamela Eason, WBENC’s former CEO, was transformative. My mentor, Tami Lange, Founder of Save the Girls, has generously shown me the ropes of scaling a mission-driven product business.
Lessons learned: the value of resilience, a strong network, and creating products that truly solve problems.
I want the world to know Hidey Style is more than a sock company. We’re a brand built by a woman, for women, dedicated to empowering them with comfort, confidence, and a deep commitment to enhancing their well-being.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Day 1: Arrive, Wellness & Beach Vibes. They get settled, then we’ll start the day with making fresh green juice 🍏. We’ll knock out some morning work, then head straight to Santa Monica Pier and Beach. We’ll kick back, enjoy the ocean air, and finish the day watching the sun melt into the Pacific.
Day 2: Hollywood Dreams, City Views & Movement. We’ll tackle our morning work block, then dive into Hollywood for the stars and iconic sights. Afterwards, we’ll hit up a Pilates class 🧘♀️. Later, we’ll head up to Griffith Observatory for amazing city views and that classic LA cityscape sunset.
Day 3: Park Thrills & Evening Magic. Our work will be done in the morning today so we can spend the whole afternoon and evening at Universal Studios Hollywood, soaking up all the fun. We’ll find a great spot within the park or CityWalk to catch the skyline turn fiery as the sun goes down.
Day 4: DTLA Vibe, Coastal Serenity & Balance. After morning work calls, we’ll explore Downtown LA’s vibrant Arts District – lots of cool murals and energy. We can even squeeze in another quick Pilates session or a refreshing green juice before driving to Malibu’s El Matador State Beach, a truly special spot for a breathtaking, peaceful ocean sunset.
Day 5: Relax Day & Grand Farewell. We’ll start with fresh green juice and our last morning work session. Then, it’s a completely relaxed afternoon. Maybe a leisurely brunch at a charming local spot, a visit to a peaceful park or botanical garden, or just chill time by the pool or reflecting on the trip. We’ll find a comfortable, beautiful spot, perhaps a local hilltop or a quiet beach, to enjoy one final, serene LA sunset before heading to LAX.
It’s all about showing them the wild diversity of LA, from bustling city to serene coast, with delicious food in between, and always, always ending with those unforgettable California sunsets.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to WBENC. Joining WBENC (Women’s Business Enterprise National Council) has been the #1 reason to my businesses growth. WBENC is the organization Businesses go through to receive their Woman Owned Certification from. Beyond the certificate, there are many networking opportunities with corporations as well as other businesses. I pitched in their pitch competition and because of that, a QVC employee approached me after my pitch and mentioned she will try to help me get Hidey Socks into QVC which is exactly what she made happen!
When I was filming on the Entrepreneur Reality TV Show which will air this fall (details to come as soon as I’m allowed to announce it on my social accounts @HideyStyle) The support I received from Pamela Eason, WBENC’s President, was truly immeasurable. She generously invested her time, energy, and unwavering belief in me, and her dedication, coupled with the immense backing of WBENC, directly fueled my exceptional success on the Show. I am profoundly grateful for how WBENC’s unwavering support has fundamentally transformed my business trajectory; their impact on me and Hidey Style is something I will forever cherish.
I also want to give a heartfelt shoutout to my incredible mentor, Tami Lange, the inspiring founder of Save the Girls. Tami’s business, Save the Girls, creates stylish and functional cross-body phone purses, innovatively designed to keep cell phones safe & secure. Her remarkable success in building a brand with such a clear mission, deeply rooted in women’s health, has been an invaluable guide for me. Tami has taken me under her wing, patiently showing me the ropes of navigating the complexities of product-based entrepreneurship, from scaling manufacturing to effective market positioning. Her journey and her willingness to share her expertise are continually illuminating the path for Hidey Style, and I am immensely thankful for her guidance.
