We had the good fortune of connecting with ARTE (ART) and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi ARTE (ART), what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I pursued an artistic/creative career because of the beauty it withholds. I believe it allows every individual to express themselves to their total capability while not having to be perfect in from other perspectives.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The love for music has always been instilled inside me for as long as I can remember. I was always fascinated with the the hip hop culture in the early 2000s and it wasn’t until I began singing in the church choir for to realize I had some form of talent. I wrote my first rap song at 10 years old and began recording at 16. I’m most proud of the perseverance I’ve had throughout the years because everytime I felt like throwing in the towel, I create something much better than what was created previously and during this journey, I’ve come to learn how precious time can be and to do everything in your power to take advantage of it by using it wisely. Although I can be a very private individual, I want the world to know that I’m much more than people may think I am and the best way for me to explain it is through my music.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would first take them to an iconic restaurant in Moreno Valley called Sonara Grill for a great lunch. Then we would probably have dinner at Haven City Market in Rancho Cucamonga followed by games, drinks, and fun at Dave N Busters.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to first give honor to God, for I wouldn’t be here doing any of this if it wasn’t for him. I would definitely like give a shoutout to my family, the hometeam (they know who they are), my camp Blvk Money Ent. and of course everyone who has supported me on this journey.
