Meet Suzanne Dyer | Realtor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Suzanne Dyer and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Suzanne, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success has been staying true to a very simple principle: always putting my clients first. Real estate is a business built on trust, and I’ve been fortunate to earn a reputation as an honest, ethical Realtor who truly cares about the people I serve. My clients know I am available to them, that I will advocate for their best interests, and that I will always tell them the truth even when it’s not the easiest answer.
Over the years, I’ve also worked hard to maintain strong relationships with other Realtors, because cooperation and respect within our industry directly benefit the buyers and sellers we represent. A good reputation, both with clients and colleagues, creates smoother transactions and better outcomes.
At the heart of it, my brand is built on consistency consistently being there for my clients, consistently protecting their needs above all else, and consistently striving to deliver the highest level of professionalism. That dedication has carried me through decades in this business, and it remains the foundation of everything I do.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Real estate has been my passion and my profession for more than three decades, and what truly sets me apart is my unwavering commitment to my clients. From day one, I’ve built my career on honesty, integrity, and a client-first philosophy. I’m known for always being available, for treating every transaction with care, and for building strong relationships with other Realtors because I believe reputation and collaboration matter as much as results.
I am most proud of the trust my clients place in me. Many have returned to me for multiple transactions over the years, and some families I’ve represented across generations. That loyalty is the greatest compliment I could ever receive, and it fuels me to keep raising the bar.
Getting to where I am today was not easy. The real estate industry is competitive, unpredictable, and full of challenges. I’ve weathered market downturns, recessions, and the ups and downs of changing interest rates. What kept me moving forward was resilience, adaptability, and the ability to learn from every obstacle. Each challenge became an opportunity to sharpen my skills, refine my strategies, and prove to myself and my clients that I could deliver results no matter the market.
Over the years, I’ve learned that success in real estate is not about chasing quick wins it’s about consistency, relationships, and trust. It’s about showing up for your clients every single time, in ways both big and small, and always keeping their needs front and center.
What I want the world to know about me and my brand is simple: I love what I do, and I care deeply about the people I serve. I’ve sold over a thousand homes since I started, but each one is personal to me. My story is not just about closing deals; it’s about helping families find their place, navigate life changes, and build their futures. That is the heart of my business, and it always will be. My passion for this business has helped me become one of the top Realtors in Palos Verdes and the South Bay and I am very proud of that accomplishment.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had a week to show a friend the very best of Palos Verdes and the South Bay, I’d start with the incredible coastline right here at home. We’d spend an afternoon at Terranea Resort, having lunch at their oceanfront restaurant Nelson’s. There’s nothing like sitting at the cliffside picnic tables, watching the waves crash below, and keeping an eye out for migrating whales. Afterwards, we’d take a walk along the coastal trails of Palos Verdes, where every turn gives you another postcard-worthy view of the Pacific.
From there, I’d take them down to Hermosa Beach, one of my favorite spots for a laid-back but quintessentially Southern California experience. We’d jump in the ocean, stroll the boardwalk, maybe join a pickup game of volleyball on the sand, and then wrap up the day with dinner at one of the many lively Hermosa Beach restaurants.
Over the course of the week, I’d make sure they experienced the unique rhythm of life here: mornings with coffee overlooking the cliffs, afternoons exploring hidden coves and local boutiques, and evenings with good food and better company by the water. To me, that combination of natural beauty, relaxed beach culture, and warm community is what makes living here so special and what I’d want my best friend to remember most.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I owe so much of my growth, both personally and professionally, to my experiences in community service and the incredible people I’ve met along the way. Serving as President of Sandpipers, a local nonprofit that provides scholarships and community assistance, taught me how to run a large organization, stay highly organized, and even sparked my love for Excel spreadsheets. Leading Cornerstone Parent Participation Elementary School as President gave me the opportunity to manage large meetings with hundreds of parents, a crash course in leadership, communication, and diplomacy. At Palos Verdes Intermediate School, I gained hands-on experience with school funding and large-scale fundraising, while my time with the National Charity League taught me the ins and outs of retail as I helped operate their 100% nonprofit thrift shop.
Each of these experiences shaped me in profound ways. I learned how to collaborate with different groups of people, how to listen, how to organize, and how to problem-solve under pressure. Most importantly, I learned the value of service and building lasting relationships. Every lesson I gained from these roles has translated directly into my real estate career. They’ve made me not only a better Realtor but also a more well-rounded person who understands the power of community, teamwork, and giving back.
