We had the good fortune of connecting with Hassan Pech and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hassan, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
A lot of the times its easier to just give up, and most of the time we do. But when you are truly passionate about something, there is no giving up, because you do it for the love you have for that specific thing and the happiness that it brings you.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I cooked since a young age, as I grew up I worked in numerous kitchens to hone my culinary prowess. From there I transitioned to understanding the management aspect of running a business and focused there. When COVID hit, there was nothing to do but cook. An old friend who was creating amazing content and growing drastically on social media pushed me to create content as well and guided me and was a great mentor in content creation. Without his help and guidance I probably wouldn’t be where I am today.

My cooking videos are straight to the point, I want my audience to understand and not need to question any part of the recipe or the steps that need to be taken to prepare. I want to educate and especially want to spread asian cuisine to those that may be too afraid to try, but are willing to take a leap.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First stop after the airport is Little Saigon over in Orange County. Westminster has so many amazing restaurants, you could literally pick a restaurant at random, walk in and you will get great food. From there you have Little Korea, Little Arabia, the beaches and nightlife. The OC is such an amazing place to be, can’t forget; we have Disneyland too!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The love of my life, my wife. I met her through my content creation journey and she was there when I had less than a 1,000 followers to when I grew past 100,000 followers. She always supports my passion in cooking and gets to indulge in my cooking and drink making as a firsthand taste tester!
