Meet Helen Pacheco | Founder of Calma Vida Wellness

We had the good fortune of connecting with Helen Pacheco and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Helen, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting Calma Vida Wellness was simple: I wanted to create the kind of experience I felt was missing in the wellness space. While massage can be incredibly therapeutic, I found that many people were craving something more personalized, intentional, and convenient.
I envisioned a wellness experience that met clients where they are literally. By bringing curated in-home rituals directly to my clients, I could help them slow down, reconnect with themselves, and prioritize their well-being without adding more stress to their busy lives.
What started as a passion for helping people feel better has evolved into a brand centered around restoration, balance, and meaningful care. Every detail, from the treatments themselves to the client experience, is designed to create a sense of calm and renewal. My goal has always been to offer more than a service, I wanted to create an experience that people genuinely look forward to and remember long after the session ends.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Calma Vida Wellness was created from a desire to offer something more personal, intentional, and convenient than the traditional spa experience. I wanted to create a wellness experience that meets clients where they are, whether that’s in their home, hotel, office, or at a special event. My goal has always been to provide more than a massage; I wanted to create a restorative experience that helps people slow down, reconnect, and prioritize their well-being.
What sets Calma Vida Wellness apart is the personalized approach. No two clients are the same, and no two sessions should be either. Every treatment is thoughtfully tailored to the individual, whether they are seeking relaxation, recovery, lymphatic support, or simply a moment of calm in an otherwise busy life.
Building a business has definitely not been easy. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve faced challenges, moments of uncertainty, and periods of growth that pushed me outside of my comfort zone. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of consistency and trusting the process. Some of my greatest opportunities have come through relationships, referrals, and simply showing up with genuine care for the people I serve.
What I’m most proud of is the trust my clients place in me. Many have been with me for years, referred their friends and family, and supported the growth of Calma Vida Wellness along the way. Their loyalty has allowed me to build a business centered around meaningful connections and exceptional care.
What I want people to know about my brand is that wellness doesn’t have to feel complicated or inaccessible. Calma Vida Wellness is rooted in the belief that taking care of yourself should feel effortless, restorative, and deeply personal. My mission is to bring that experience directly to my clients and create moments of calm in a world that often moves too fast.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If a friend was visiting for a week, I’d want them to experience a mix of wellness, nature, and some of Southern California’s most beautiful coastal spots.
We’d start with a morning walk along the beach in Malibu, followed by breakfast overlooking the ocean. I’m a big believer in slowing down and appreciating simple moments, so I’d definitely include plenty of time outdoors.
Throughout the week, we’d explore Malibu, Santa Monica, and Los Angeles, stopping at local coffee shops, scenic overlooks, and some of my favorite wellness-inspired spaces. We’d spend time by the water, enjoy sunset walks, and take advantage of everything California has to offer, from beautiful weather to incredible coastal views.
Of course, no visit would be complete without experiencing Disneyland with my family. Creating memories with the people you love is one of the things I value most, and it’s always a place that brings a sense of fun and nostalgia.
What I love most about this area is the variety. In a single day, you can enjoy the ocean, discover amazing restaurants, visit unique neighborhoods, and still find moments of peace and quiet. It’s that balance of energy and calm that makes Southern California so special.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my family and the incredible clients who have supported me throughout this journey.
My family has been my foundation from the very beginning, encouraging me to pursue my vision and reminding me why I started. Their support has allowed me to build a business that reflects my values and creates the flexibility to be present for the people who matter most.
I’m also deeply grateful to my clients. Many have trusted me with their wellness for years, referred friends and family, and continued to support Calma Vida Wellness as it has evolved and grown. Their trust, loyalty, and belief in what I do have played a huge role in where I am today.
Building Calma Vida Wellness has never been a solo journey, and I’m thankful for every person who has been a part of it.
