Meet Agnes Lindstrom | Actress & Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Agnes Lindstrom and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Agnes, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
I think FUN is not only a pretty awesome part of life,
but it can also a great energy generator as well as inspiration booster.
Say yes to things, take chances and don’t trust people saying you have to focus on one single thing.
At least for me, that just makes me bored and I think different things, interests, art forms, feed from each other.
I act, paint, DJ, make small little miniature sculptures, build squirrel furniture, sew clothes, and it makes me feel good and inspired.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve always stayed curious and the art I’m most proud of has always been made just out of true curiosity. It can be completely pointless. But those things age better than ideas that I’ve come up with that are some sort of thought through criticism towards society or trying to be smart. There are probably people doing good work that stems from that. But for me
it has always helped to go back to the mindset you have as a small kid, when you do a drawing or play music or imitate a neighbour or make up a pointless game, only because it was fun. Not because you wanted to succeed or sell an idea or become famous.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d go to Mexican wrestling, get drunk at Rustic Inn, hike in Griffith Park, buy some books at Skylight, eat the world’s best cheeseburger at Yuca’s on Hillhurst, check if theres any good concert at The Greek Theatre, go to Target and buy ClearEyes, Mucinex and Melatonin and other things that Swedish people love, go to Crossroads and Wasteland to find something fun to wear before going dancing at some warehouse downtown. Next day we’d go to Malibu and dip our toes, order twelve different dishes at Gjelina in Venice, have a foot massage in Thai Town and order way too much food again ay Jitlada.
