We had the good fortune of connecting with Sabrina Rising and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sabrina, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I had always had a very strong desire to help others. I wasn’t sure in what capacity I could do that and spent many years doubting myself. I had had a successful career in the corporate world that also left me feeling largely unfulfilled and alone. It wasn’t until I turned to meditation and mindfulness practices that I was able really listen to my own intuition and get clear about my message. I left the corporate world behind and began my personal journey of self discovery only to find myself sharing my process with others and seeing amazing changes in their lives. After several months of practicing session work with some very open minded first time clients, I knew that I had found my calling . I began to work with others guiding them to realize themselves and find lasting inner peace. 13 years later I have several programs and offerings for clients at every level of learning and enjoy meaningful connections with participants all over the world.
What should our readers know about your business?
There are many practitioners in the realm of alternative healing. I believe everyone that is drawn to being of service to others in a therapeutic way has their own self expression and unique gifts. As with many of us, my work is a representation of the success in my own healing journey. I experienced some mild shifts with a variety of programs I attended and quickly realized I had to start incorporating my own ideas in order to help myself feel whole. Over the years, I have had the privilege of assisting so many people through challenging emotional and life changing situations, that I began to notice certain practices were more effective than others. Within my first year of practicing, I had created my Level 1 curriculum – Realizing Self, a unique 12 week program that is deeply healing and transformational. It wasn’t easy to get started, only because I had my own fears to overcome. Once I had surrendered them and allowed. my self to trust the process and simply follow my passion to serve, regardless of the outcome, the universe lined up a series of supportive friends and clients that have all contributed to the success of my life’s work. The most important lesson I have learned along the way is to lead with a pure heart and clear intention. My work is inspired by my profound love for humans and a sincere desire to help eliminate unnecessary suffering. Staying in alignment with my intention, I am able to effortlessly manifest success for my business and most importantly help improve the lives of my clients.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
here we go! let’s have some fun….Favorite yoga spots are Hot 8 on 2nd street in Santa Monica for heated flow classes and Bhakti Yoga Shala on Arizona avenue also in Santa Monica, for heart opening kirtan, deep discussions about non duality, and yoga too! The people there are wonderful. We would head over to Gracias Madre in North Hollywood for the yummiest plant based cuisine in a super trendy spot and maybe stop at Shojin in little Tokyo for some vegan sushi. The Rose cafe in Venice is also lovely in the afternoons for people watching. I love to peruse through the mystic journey bookstore on Main Street in SM and always leave with some new gems! And if we are up for a drive we would head over to Zuma or El Matador in Malibu for the best beach experience ever. I also really enjoy the food and view from Malibu farms. Some of the coolest characters can be found in Malibu farmer’s market on Sundays and walking down the boardwalk in Venice for that “California dreaming” vibe.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to thank my dear friend Karmel Greenfeld for giving me the push I needed. We met in a leadership program in Toronto and became instant friends. Karmel is a successful business coach and after helping her though some difficult times, she encouraged me to share my gifts with the world. She was instrumental in helping me launch my business and referred me many clients when I got started. I will forever be grateful to her for believing in me.
